**Job Description**
AECOM are currently seeking a Consultant, from an Urban Planning background to join our Urban advisory team, in Dubai. The Consultant is responsible for developing designs through various project stages, undertaking coordination, and carrying out design documentation while working on the project team.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Implementing strategies and adopting policies, standards, and methodologies to meet customer and business needs.
+ Independently conduct research, extract relevant information and communicate it graphically, concisely and clearly.
+ Guides and supports Graduate Consultants in delivering tasks.
+ Fully develop design content by applying design and technical knowledge to ensure the production of high-quality outputs within timelines.
+ Efficient turnaround of reports and presentation decks based on storyboards laid out by the team.
+ Independently create additional content as required.
+ Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables and work on detailed or routine assignments involving calculations, sketching, diagrams, dataset development, drawing and reports.
+ Good understanding and technical knowledge of urban principles, typologies, the built environment, and planning practices, including working with other disciplines and expertise.
+ Have good descriptive and technical writing skills for reports, presentations and guidelines.
+ Participate in workshops and meetings and capture outcomes and discussion points concisely.
+ Proficiency in: Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, CAD, Sketchup, Rhino, ArcGIS/ QGIS. Power BI.

+ Bachelors degree in the relevant discipline field. Masters degree preferred.

Role OverviewAs a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact consulting engagements. You will lead workstreams, conduct complex analyses, and provide strategic advice to senior client stakeholders. Your contributions will directly influence major decision-making processes in sectors such as government services, economic development, healthcare, education, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead discrete workstreams or components of larger strategy projects from scoping through to delivery
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, benchmarking, stakeholder interviews, and financial modelling
- Synthesise findings into clear insights, strategic options, and practical recommendations
- Prepare high-quality client deliverables, including presentations, reports, and dashboards
- Collaborate with client teams to ensure successful knowledge transfer and buy-in
- Support business development activities, including proposal writing, pitch development, and client meetings
- Coach junior consultants and analysts, contributing to their professional growth
- Stay abreast of regional trends, policy developments, and sectoral dynamics relevant to the GCC and UAE
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university; Master’s or MBA preferred
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, advisory, or in-house strategy roles
- Prior experience in the Middle East, particularly the UAE, is highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to structure complex problems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Proven ability to engage withclients and stakeholders
- Experience in sectors such as public sector transformation, economic planning, healthcare, education, or digital/government innovation is a strong advantage
