Coinbase is leading the expansion of digital assets into the financial mainstream. We are building a world-class Policy team to lead Coinbase's engagement, advocacy, and outreach efforts with policymakers around the world. In this role, you will be a key member of the Policy team, at a company where disruptive technologies and unconventional thinking are the norm.

What you'll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Conduct policy and legislative research that reflects the policy team's priorities and contributes to critical policy outcomes.
• Identify and recommend proactive strategies on policy issues affecting Coinbase in the UK.
• Support the Policy team on regulatory whitepapers, consultations, and thought leadership
• Serve as an interface for government relationships in the UAE.
• Develop position papers and advocacy documents to support advocacy goals, align policy positions across key functions, and ensure consistency in messaging across the company on core policy issues.
• Monitor and analyze policy trends for the company; succinctly synthesize information for internal audiences on potential policy and regulatory developments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues on  external policy communications.
• Cross functional collaboration to strategically support the company's international expansion.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

• 7+ years of experience in public policy management or a government role.
• Know-how in the area of financial services and technology.
• Demonstrated experience engaging and effectively interacting with UK lawmakers and regulators.
• Experience advising Product and Engineering teams to consider and operationalize policy considerations as part of their business roadmaps.
• Superlative research, writing and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for working on novel issues in a turbocharged environment, combined with a proclivity for proactive collaboration when problem solving.
• A strong interest in digital assets, crypto markets, and blockchain technology.
• High-EQ and a passion for acting like an owner.

About The Position As a Public Policy Manager, you will play a key role in monitoring evolving regional and global virtual assets policy and regulatory trends, flagging risks and opportunities for the business. Working closely with the Director of Public Policy, you will support the company in identifying and engaging high-profile public sector stakeholders to understand and shape the virtual assets policy and regulatory landscape, responding to requests for comments and information, and preparing insightful, data-driven research and analysis to facilitate the business proactive engagement and advocacy with key stakeholders.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in public policy, public affairs, or government relations, preferably with a focus on virtual assets or fintech, ideally in the GCC or the broader Middle East and North Africa region;

• Experience in drafting insightful and concise briefs for executives and functional leaders to support strategic visibility and decision-making;
• Experience in conducting market analysis, stakeholder mapping, and regulatory analysis;

The Public Policy team leads BitOasis engagement with policymakers regulators public sector stakeholders and strategic partners across the Middle East and North Africa to support the horizontal (geographical) and vertical (product portfolio) expansion of the business in a regulation- and compliance-first manner. • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Insurance, or related field (master's preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in insurance operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in Policy management operations or policy administration in health insurance. UAE experiences mandatory
• Strong understanding of insurance regulations and industry standards; UAE experience mandatory
• Familiarity with core insurance systems and data management tools.
• Certification in insurance (e.g., CII, HIA, LOMA) is desirable.
