Maintains, repairs, and tests the Plant Services physical assets of American Hospital Dubai and ensures safe and efficient operations which include but are not limited to the Building Management System, Electrical System, Fire Alarm, and Domestic Water System.
Responsibilities- Implements maintenance work orders for all work assignments and organizes his resources effectively.
- Ensures all the patient-related Utilities are delivered without interruption.
- Carries out assigned duties effectively to required quality standards.
- Completes all reports, correspondence, Work Control documents and other assigned paperwork accurately.
- Organizes the work and successfully manages time to complete his assignments efficiently.
- Identifies materials needed for the section and advises/updates the Supervisor/Engineer on critical items continuously.
- Evaluates his area continuously, and recommend proposals for improvements, new technology, efficiency benefits and system change.
- Ensures effective use of resources at all times and identifies/follows up on the materials required for assignments.
- Understands and applies confidentiality to his activities.
- Implements Sustainable Practices/Policies in Facilities Management operations.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Healthcare Organization’s maintenance department or similar institution
- Knowledge and understanding of codes of practice, applicable standards and engineering principles to effectively conduct his assignments
- Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards
- Skills in computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) preferred
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to read Engineering Drawings
- Ability to demonstrate his trade training in a wide range of cross-trade activities

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and continuous operation of the production machinery to meet daily output goals, while strictly adhering to HSE protocols and maintaining product quality standards .
What you’ll be doing:- Safety & Compliance
- Prioritize Safety: Strictly adhere to all company Health & Safety procedures (including using PPE) and seek clarification if unsure.
- Follow Instructions: Comply with all instructions from the Shift Leader/Production Management.
- Procedural Adherence: Follow all operating procedures and quality systems consistently.
- Plant Operation & Efficiency (Dryer Focus)
- Machine Operation: Safely operate a variety of plant machinery including the Bagging, Mixer, Stacker, Calcination, and Laminator systems (upon successful training).
- Dryer Control:
- Verify that doors are sealed, and gas/air valves are open.
- Start the dryer, adjust burner temperatures according to the production plan, and ensure control panels are on "AUTO."
- Monitor the dryer operating system and heat exchanger performance and report any faults immediately.
- Downtime Minimization: Keep detailed records, concisely report all issues to the Shift Leader and Maintenance team, and carry out basic maintenance tasks as directed.
- Shift Handover: Provide and receive a comprehensive handover report at the start and end of every shift.
- Cleanliness: Maintain 5S standards and a "clean-as-you-go" environment.
- Quality & Improvement
- Quality Checks: Liaise with QC personnel to check board quality and make necessary dryer temperature adjustments to meet quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement projects, team forums (like Staff Council/H&S), and take the lead in identifying and implementing resultant changes.
- Problem Solving: Investigate failures and develop new procedures to ensure high‑quality output and maximize production.
