Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a Process Engineer to contribute to our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing enquiry documentation, performing pre-bid engineering, and providing required inputs for bid preparation.
The Process Engineer will also be responsible for carrying out allocated duties related to the preparation and issue of Process & Safety deliverables after the award of projects. This includes site visits and close coordination with Lead Process Engineer, Project Engineering manager, Drafting Office Coordinator, and occasionally with client's project team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing enquiry documentation

- Monitor and analyze real-time performance data from gas engines and associated equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and output, identifying and addressing any deviations from established parameters.
- Conduct routine inspections of gas engines, generators, and auxiliary systems, including checking fluid levels, temperatures, and pressures, to proactively identify and prevent potential failures.
- Perform or oversee scheduled maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and spark plug adjustments, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and plant procedures.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues within the gas engine system, utilizing diagnostic tools and technical manuals to determine root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Operate and maintain the plant's control systems, including SCADA and DCS, to manage engine operation, grid synchronization, and power distribution.
- Maintain accurate records of engine performance, maintenance activities, and operational events, documenting all findings and actions taken for future reference.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and other plant personnel to schedule and execute maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resource utilization.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and environmental guidelines, promoting a safe working environment and minimizing the plant's impact on the environment.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and plant-specific procedures through continuous training and self-study to enhance operational expertise.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the operation and maintenance of gas engine power plants.
- Candidates with experience in Caterpillar and Wärtsilä engines possess a significant advantage due to their familiarity with high-performance power generation systems and complex engine operations
- Requires the physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing, lifting, and working in various weather conditions; no nationality preference; English language proficiency is required.
- Displays excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues effectively.

**A little taste of your day-to-day:**
+ Respond and attend to guests/ customers to resolve maintenance issues.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
+ Program and monitor energy management equipment to operate at maximum operational efficiency and avoid peak demand charges and penalties.
+ Perform monitoring the operation of pools and maintain the water parameters as per the DM guidelines.
+ Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
+ Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment including air handlers, motors, variable speed drives (VSDs) and controls.
+ Perform water chemical tests and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
+ Lead and train the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) team in the operation of energy management equipment and calibration of equipment.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot pressure vessels, boiler permits and boiler controls.
+ Log boiler water parameters regularly and maintain as per the limits.
+ Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding in cases of fire, accident, safety concerns and calls for medical assistance.
+ Visually inspect equipment or machines and record any abnormality.
+ Log meter readings and make appropriate adjustments to the energy management system as required.
+ Monitor electrical demand, usage of refrigerant, well pumps, and the filtration systems.
+ Perform safety checks on related equipment as required.
