Overview
As the Director, Process & Control Lead in Mastercard Transaction Services (MTS), this Role will be responsible for overseeing the identification, assessment, and management of financial risks across the MTS organization processes for new and existing products that the MTS legal entities support with a strong emphasis on accounting processes and controls. This role ensures that robust internal controls are in place to identify and mitigate risks effectively, comply with policy requirements, and develop management reporting on control gaps. The individual in this role will provide strategic guidance to senior leadership, lead risk management initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in the finance processes.
This role will ensure a strong internal control environment, be familiar and adhere to all Mastercard policies and processes that mitigate risks for the Company, function, and department. Role
1.Responsible for Risk Identification & Assessment- Existing & New Products:
• Identify potential risks (financial & operational)) that could affect the organization's objectives while rolling out new products or managing the existing products.
• Lead the development and execution of the end-to-end process documentation, financial controls, and checklists for the existing and new products.
• Perform risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
• Collaborate with various departments to assess risk exposure, recommend risk mitigation strategies, track and manage the mitigation plans.
2.Specific focus on Internal Control Development & Monitoring:
• Design, develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to manage risks effectively and ensure compliance with operational requirements, regulatory standards and corporate governance requirements.
• Oversee control testing and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring they are efficient and operating as intended.

• Monitor, assess & advise the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and adjust them as necessary.

All About You
• Education: Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, internal audit or a related field.
• Certifications: Professional certifications such as CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or CPA are a plus.

In addition, the Contractor shall perform facility management and maintenance and repair for fuel systems supporting facility stationery and emergency back-up generators.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
The Contractor shall use all USG provided generators, transformers, switchgears, fuel tanks, cabling and any other equipment needed to support the government's requests of spot generators providing prime power for mission requirements. Additionally, in order to minimize mission impact due to power outages caused by routine maintenance or unexpected equipment failure, the Contractor shall utilize USG provided back-up generators to meet the performance objectives of providing reliable and continuous prime power support and no scheduled power outages longer than one (1) hour.
The Contractor shall:
Install, remove, and operate electrical power generating and control systems, automatic or manual transfer switches and associated equipment with proper technical skills.
Check equipment for serviceability; position equipment such as gasoline and diesel engines, generators, switchgear, air compressors, and other power generating auxiliary equipment.
Check installed equipment to ensure compliance with publications, policies, and directives.
Inspect, test, and service component systems such as safety, fuel, lubrication, cooling, and air pressure, pumps, regulators, governors, and accessory equipment.
Observe and interpret instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, frequency meters, synchro scopes, automatic temperature and pressure recorders, and engine oil, fuel, and coolant gauges.
Adjust engine generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current, frequency, and synchronization; synchronize multiple generators when needed.
The Contractor shall operate medium and low voltage generators as required. Operations of the electric generators include start-up, transfer of load, generation, and shutdown of all associated electric power equipment. Operations responsibilities include monitoring and adjusting generator and electrical output performance as required; ensuring adequate stores of fuel are available for continuous operation of the plants; switching operating generators to maintain electrical output while permitting servicing on generators taken off line. Duties include observation of key and critical operational parameters and taking appropriate measures in the event of out-of-tolerance conditions. For locations where generators are providing prime power, performance of these duties must be on a 24-hour a day, 7-day week shift schedule, if continuous power is required. The Contractor shall use technical orders, where applicable, and employ good commercial practices in all generator operations, including use of AFMAN 32-1062, applicable UFCs, manufacturer instructions, industry standards, and environmental/occupational safety requirements.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:**
High school diploma or equivalent training/experience and a valid driver's license. The technician shall have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the electrical power generation field. The technician manages resources and activities devoted to installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power generating and control systems. The technician shall have knowledge of: Principles of electronics and electricity, including generation, conversion, transformation, distribution, and utilization; types, capacity, and purpose of low voltage circuits, circuit breakers, switches (automatic/manual type), fuses, regulators, relays, instruments, and meters associated with electric generation and distribution; interpreting instrument and meter readings; wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings and technical publications; techniques of operating and maintaining internal combustion engines, generators, generating plants, distribution panels, and accessory equipment; use and purpose of test equipment; safety rules and practices; grounding practices, environmental policies; principles of management; and operation and repair of electrical power production systems. Experience with operating and maintaining generators ranging from 5 to 4,300 kilowatts desired. All technicians shall be power production journeyman or master technicians.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Additionally, in order to minimize mission impact due to power outages caused by routine maintenance or unexpected equipment failure, the Contractor shall utilize USG provided back-up generators to meet the performance objectives of providing reliable and continuous prime power support and no scheduled power outages longer than one (1) hour.
The Contractor shall:
Install, remove, and operate electrical power generating and control systems, automatic or manual transfer switches and associated equipment with proper technical skills.
Check equipment for serviceability; position equipment such as gasoline and diesel engines, generators, switchgear, air compressors, and other power generating auxiliary equipment.
Check installed equipment to ensure compliance with publications, policies, and directives.
Inspect, test, and service component systems such as safety, fuel, lubrication, cooling, and air pressure, pumps, regulators, governors, and accessory equipment.
Observe and interpret instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, frequency meters, synchro scopes, automatic temperature and pressure recorders, and engine oil, fuel, and coolant gauges.
Adjust engine generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current, frequency, and synchronization; synchronize multiple generators when needed.
The Contractor shall operate medium and low voltage generators as required. Operations of the electric generators include start-up, transfer of load, generation, and shutdown of all associated electric power equipment. Operations responsibilities include monitoring and adjusting generator and electrical output performance as required; ensuring adequate stores of fuel are available for continuous operation of the plants; switching operating generators to maintain electrical output while permitting servicing on generators taken off line. Duties include observation of key and critical operational parameters and taking appropriate measures in the event of out-of-tolerance conditions. For locations where generators are providing prime power, performance of these duties must be on a 24-hour a day, 7-day week shift schedule, if continuous power is required. The Contractor shall use technical orders, where applicable, and employ good commercial practices in all generator operations, including use of AFMAN 32-1062, applicable UFCs, manufacturer instructions, industry standards, and environmental/occupational safety requirements.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:**
High school diploma or equivalent training/experience and a valid driver's license. The technician shall have a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the electrical power generation field. The technician manages resources and activities devoted to installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power generating and control systems. The technician shall have knowledge of: Principles of electronics and electricity, including generation, conversion, transformation, distribution, and utilization; types, capacity, and purpose of low voltage circuits, circuit breakers, switches (automatic/manual type), fuses, regulators, relays, instruments, and meters associated with electric generation and distribution; interpreting instrument and meter readings; wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings and technical publications; techniques of operating and maintaining internal combustion engines, generators, generating plants, distribution panels, and accessory equipment; use and purpose of test equipment; safety rules and practices; grounding practices, environmental policies; principles of management; and operation and repair of electrical power production systems. Experience with operating and maintaining generators ranging from 5 to 4,300 kilowatts desired. All technicians shall be power production journeyman or master technicians.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
**Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or fee; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, or may include unsafe conditions, questioning nonstandard operations or environmental factors that may involve unmitigated hazards, and providing feedback to supervisors and managers on all safety issues.

What you'll be doing:

The BPI Assistant Manager for Process, Policies, and Internal Controls will be instrumental in supporting the design, implementation, and monitoring of efficient processes, policies, and internal controls throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong expertise in process optimization, compliance, and risk management, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across business units within GMG. This role requires a highly motivated individual and a change leader who is passionate about driving digital transformation and enhancing operational efficiency while ensuring policy compliance and mitigating risks.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Process Improvement and Optimization:
    • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map and streamline workflows, ensuring optimal use of resources and compliance with internal standards.
    • Conduct process assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance productivity and mitigate risks.
  2. Policy Development and Implementation:
    • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational goals.
    • Ensure that policies are consistently applied across departments, and support teams in understanding and adhering to company policies.
    • Provide guidance to departments regarding policy interpretation and implementation.
  3. Internal Controls:
    • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of internal control frameworks to safeguard company assets, ensure financial integrity, and prevent fraud or errors.
    • Conduct regular assessments of internal controls, identifying weaknesses or gaps, and working with relevant teams to develop corrective action plans.
    • Monitor compliance with established internal controls and provide recommendations for improvements as needed.
  4. Audit and Risk Support:
    • Assist in coordinating internal audits to ensure compliance with financial, operational, and regulatory standards.
    • Help prepare audit documentation and respond to audit inquiries in a timely manner.
    • Monitor and report on audit findings and assist with the implementation of corrective actions.
  5. Training and Awareness:
    • Conduct training sessions for staff on process improvements, policies, and internal controls to promote a culture of compliance and efficiency.
    • Provide ongoing support and clarification to departments regarding process and policy changes.
  6. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and present regular reports on process performance, policy compliance, and internal control assessments to senior management.
    • Maintain accurate records of policies, procedures, and control documentation to ensure traceability and accountability.

Functional/Technical Competencies:

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with process mapping tools or ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
  2. Understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to internal controls and process management.
  3. Must have Business Process Re-engineering experience in Retail, Pharma Manufacturing and/ or FMCG sectors.
  4. Prefer hands-on process optimization experience in relevant Business Units / functions.
  5. Implementation of Automation / RPA techniques.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, Six Sigma Green/ black belt certified candidates preferred) are a plus.
