Role Overview

As a
Production Engineer – Assembly Lines,
you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the production assembly process. You will be responsible for overseeing feeder and assembly sections, monitoring daily operations, and ensuring that production plans are executed on time and within cost and quality targets.

The role requires a strong focus on
lean manufacturing practices, process optimization, and continuous improvement
to reduce downtime, minimize material losses, and enhance efficiency. You will also be accountable for coordinating with foremen, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to maintain workflow, support quality standards, and drive a culture of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

  • Attend daily production meetings and provide updates on section performance.

  • Plan daily production activities with foremen/chargehands, ensuring adherence to schedules and priorities.

  • Monitor efficiency, routing times, and reduce lost hours by implementing process improvements.

  • Identify and implement corrective actions to prevent production and material losses.

  • Review and analyze production interruptions, non-conformance (NCN) reports, and defects analysis, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Oversee shift assignments, workforce allocation, and performance appraisals in collaboration with foremen.

Assembly Line Operations

  • Monitor and verify assembly processes against Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.

  • Plan and coordinate assembly line change-overs, ensuring materials and sub-assemblies are ready in advance.

  • Ensure sub-assemblies are completed to required standards and specifications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth workflow and timely delivery of production targets.

Continuous Improvement & Quality

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing tools and practices on the shop floor.

  • Drive initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resources.

  • Support quality assurance activities to meet company standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.

Skills & Experience

  • 4–7 years of experience in HVAC manufacturing, preferably with exposure to assembly line operations (brazing, soldering, welding, or furnace-based assemblies).

  • Strong understanding of production planning, efficiency tracking, and lean manufacturing practices.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
