Job Overview
The Production Engineer applies conceptual knowledge of production, analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers.
Responsibilities:- Review project scope of work, schedules, and specifications
- Prepare Scope of Work and Task Listing
- Identify areas for improvement in fabrication planning and suggest corrections to the planning team
- Review drawings for constructability and identify special items/subcontract requirements
- Monitor material delivery and raise concerns with discrepancies
- Verify material requisitions before orders are placed
- Check grade and plate sizing assumptions
- Initiate site queries to utilize available material (substitutions)
- Provide field guidance and ensure compliance with Company specification
- Attend production meetings and report concerns
- Monitor scope changes and Production revision orders
- Report weekly fabrication progress and monitor production man-hours and productivity
- Review four weeks look ahead plans and identify constraints (material/drawings)
- Coordinate with construction engineers to issue timely procedures and communicate any changes to all parties
- Coordinate sub-contract scope
- Review as-built drawings
- Coordinate materials movements within the yard
- Ensure shop/erection floor planning complies with the project plan
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 3+ years experience in oil and gas with major contractor or consultant
- Familiarity with API RP2A, AISC, and AWS content and application

Provides technical support to field operations in the production of hydrocarbons and the efficient use of water and/or gas injection systems.
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Prepare programs for rigless operations, perforation, kick-off operation, stimulation and well testing to be carried out by service companies.
• Prepare programs for various well tests such as multi-rate production/injection tests and isochronal/modified isochronal tests. Coordinates and supervises testing operations and carries out preliminary interpretation and evaluation of test results.
• Follow up and supervises all wireline work carried out by contractors. Verify various reports and send to Asset Development for further review and action.
• Supervises production logging and carries out preliminary log interpretation and evaluation of test results.
• Monitors oil/gas producing and water injection wells performance. Investigates and diagnoses well problems and proposes action requirements. Recommends workover for specific wells giving prognosis of each well and workover justification.
• Coordinates and supervise down hole equipment testing and maintenance.
• Reviews and evaluates water injection clusters performance and discusses the long term injection test with concerned engineers of other Departments.
• Monitors and discuss the performance of installed production equipment.
• Participates in technical studies concerning water/gas injection and artificial lift projects, oil and gas operations, facilities optimization or modification, as assigned.
• Maintains comprehensive database on well history, oil/gas production, water production/ injection and gas injection statistics.
• Participates in the development of operating, reporting and recording procedures for oil, gas and water production/injection performance.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Petroleum, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
8 years of experience Petroleum Engineering including workover, completion, well testing and production operations.
