Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Production Planning Specialist to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for production planning functions of projects, including receipt of drawing packages & requisitions, organizing & updating the planning database, sections raw materials forecasting & nesting, job allocation to various fabrication bays, tracking of workflow at every stage until delivery, periodical project reporting, coordination with all stakeholders to meet management objectives and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive drawing packages & requisitions, ensuring the availability of all required data for production planning.
- Organize and update the planning database to provide access for all concerned personnel.
- Assist in preparing the shop monthly plan based on the project forward load chart & site sequential requirement.
- Allocate fabrication drawings among all fabrication bays based on the given weekly / monthly plan & loading pattern.
- Monitor production progress to ensure works are done as per the given plan and initiate counter-measure actions whenever necessary.
- Document changes in fabrication drawings/requirements during or after production through change orders for additional claims.
- Provide periodical progress reports to the project team.
- Coordinate with all concerned parties for shop floor activities like drawing queries, free-issue materials, erection sequence & site requirements etc.
- Forecast raw materials for available drawings and arrange for sufficient raw materials to carry out production.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years of related experience and competency in computer software such as MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Project is must required.
