The Resident Engineer and Project Manager is a hybrid role that combines deep technical expertise with strategic customer engagement. This role is primarily focused on delivering high-quality professional services implementations across networking technologies, while also supporting customer success initiatives to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term value. As implementation is completed and moved into production, the primary function will be as resident engineer supporting customer network, day to day as well as change management.
Professional Services Responsibilities- Project Implementation and management 75% (Year 1)
- Assist Sales with scoping projects and define Professional Services deliverables.
- Provide project implementation support onsite and remote.
- Responsible for creation and maintaining project documentation during implementation.
- Responsible as technical lead and trusted advisor to the customer during implementation.

- Work with and provide daily guidance as needed to Extreme GTAC and HW/SW engineers assigned to work issues reported by the assigned customer base.
- Respond promptly to customer needs, providing value added services where applicable.
- Support the PSM to accurate documentation of customer's Extreme network, and associated information is current and available for customer support to access and streamline the issue resolution process.
- Monitor, review and track all support cases. Maintain tracking documents and monitor for negative trends taking appropriate actions such as notification/engagement of technical support management team and product quality.
- Provide proactive administration of the customers' environment: Review cases and conduct early trend indicator analysis, review logs, Field Notices, EOL, EOS, etc.
- Proactively engage customer requirements relating to product enhancements that would improve product serviceability and usability. Represent/present the customer requirement to the appropriate Engineering organization to ensure clear understanding and implementation of approved enhancements.
- Demo and provide on-going training and assistance on our Extreme Platform ONE software package.
- Work closely with the customer to ensure customer satisfaction of all professional services account engagements.

The Consultant is a member of the Telco practice team, which is focused on the telecommunications market.
The Professional Services Consultant works with clients and partners remotely and / or onsite on engagements of high complexity. The consultant can demonstrate his / her ability to participate in customer success from the pre-sales / scoping phase to project closure.

Basic Qualifications- Experience in cloud computing
- Experience in project management of technical programs, supporting Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience

THE ROLEAs an experienced Project Manager you will oversee project delivery for a number of projects in your own portfolio and ensure those projects are delivered on time within budget and to a high standard to the satisfaction of the Customer Pure Advanced Services and Pure Sales stakeholders. You will have full accountability for compliance with Pure Storages revenue recognition rules and policies. You will also work with cross-functional teams including Sales Product Marketing Business Development Managers Services and Engineering to successfully deliver Professional Services solutions for the design and deployment of modern Kubernetes solutions for customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO- Management of local and remote project resources both internal and external Pure partners
- Being the primary interface into customer management including complex stakeholder management
- Management of 3rd party partners/suppliers and/or other service lines within the business
- Project scope management ensuring customer value received tracking processing project change orders ensuring high-quality project deliverables and documenting customer agreements
- Developing project plans and tracking progress versus the plan
- Maintaining project/program reporting materials (via an online document repository such as Google Docs) and maintain project status documentation
- Track and report project issues and risks and the impact on the organization
- Establishing work timelines and managing resources consumed vs. forecasted level of effort
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore you will be expected to work from the OFFICELOCATION office in compliance with Pures policies unless you are on PTO or work travel or other approved leave
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- PRINCE2 or PMP certification
- Management of billable professional services projects is essential
- ITIL AGILE & other certifications preferred
- 5 years experience in project management in an external customer-facing environment

Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of the primary aws services (ec2, elb, rds, route53 & s3)
- Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
- Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages (java, python, etc.)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or related technical, math, or scientific field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience, as well as hosting and deploying GenAI/ML solutions (e.g., for training, fine tuning, and inferences)
