**Responsibilities:**

+ Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans
+ Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work
+ Advises the client and company management of any such changes. The Project Manager is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders
+ Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes
+ Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule

**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field)
+ 20+ years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience
+ Significant managerial experience of a large group of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel
+ Middle East expereince is mandatory. Abu Dhabi expereince is preferable.
+ Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society may be required
+ Proven ability for managing a large group of engineering/technical personnel
+ Directing work involving complex technical situations
+ Excellent written and oral communications skills
+ Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required
+ Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering from a reputable institution
+ A minimum of 20 years of proven experience in project management, with a strong track record in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
+ In-depth knowledge and practical experience in applying Project Management principles, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
+ Strong proactive mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying challenges early and implementing effective solutions.

The Project Director will lead the delivery of civil works and station construction for a major rail infrastructure project. This includes overseeing design, construction, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring compliance with international standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage complex interfaces between civil and rail systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil and station works, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Act as the primary liaison with clients, contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
• Supervise design reviews, construction activities, and ensure integration with other rail systems (signaling, telecom, MEP, etc.).
• Enforce HSE standards, conduct audits, and ensure adherence to international railway and construction standards (e.g., EN50126, EN50121, EN50122).
• Manage contracts, claims, variations, and ensure financial control and risk mitigation.
• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, planners, and site managers.

Requirements:

• Location - UAE (Abu Dhabi / Dubai / Sharjah).
• Industry - Rail / Infrastructure / Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 20+ years of experience required (with at least 5 years in high-speed rail or large-scale civil infrastructure projects).
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is a plus.
• Proven experience in high-speed rail or large-scale infrastructure projects in the GCC.
• Strong knowledge of international railway standards and civil engineering principles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

In this role, you will manage all aspects of construction management, supervision, design, and project administration of large-scale infrastructure projects. + Experience must include all Health & Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of the construction of similar large-scale sewerage, surface, and ground water networks projects.
+ Previous experience in managing large infrastructure Design & Build.
+ Demonstrated experience in technical and financial proposals, evaluation, constructability, technology deployment, and solving technical problems during construction.
+ Strong leadership qualities to lead a large project management team of interdisciplinary professionals.
+ Knowledge and ability to understand, lead, and make appropriate decisions to progress the work mentioned in each staff requirement responsibility.
+ Membership of an accredited Project Management Institution is an advantage.
