We are seeking a highly proactive and technically competent Purchasing Manager for a specialized engineering company focused on the design and integration of skids and packages for oil & gas and industrial applications.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in procurement planning and execution for complex, multi-component projects, with the ability to independently monitor material procurement and synchronize deliveries according to project schedules—ensuring components are available on time for seamless skid integration.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage procurement schedules aligned with project milestones.
• Handle procurement of hundreds of items per project and ensure synchronized delivery.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with global suppliers.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate bids, and ensure technical compliance.
• Coordinate shipping, packing, bill of lading, and freight insurance.
• Work with internal QA/QC and Project teams on procurement specifications.

As Purchasing Manager, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Purchasing function to provide exceptional products within brand operating standards across the preparation and processing of requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment, storage, and stock takes.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

• Source and purchase the most suitable products for the operation that are relevant and in line with Six Senses policies plus wellness and sustainability practices
• Regularly review suppliers and contracts to ensure conformity with Six Senses requirements.
• Vendor and market assessment, ordering, stock takes, and storage will be undertaken at the required times to ensure all stock is on hand, of the right quality, and properly stored in line with Six Senses standards.
• Instill a fair and transparent Vendor/Supplier Vetting process and hold vendors/suppliers to Six Senses Sustainability and EatWithSix Senses guidelines.
• Proactively engage in weekly Farmers Market and make purchasing trips to local farmers, bakers, and fishermen to help grow local community vendors/suppliers before choosing large global vendors/suppliers.

• Ensure that all set policies, procedures, and best practices are in place and rigorously enforced.
• Instill a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
• Operate the property in accordance with all legal, statutory, and financial requirements and documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communication, product and service standards, host management practices, and budgetary controls to ensure the successful operation of the hotel.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Purchasing Manager, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results, including:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Materials or Purchasing Management, or a relevant field, and three years of purchasing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. More than three years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is the preferred additional language.

The Purchasing manager supports the hotel by providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following ACCOR Standards of Performance. (S)he is involved in day to day audit work on operation and to advise the Director of Finance on the market conditions. and implements and maintains policies and procedures on the process of procurement. while supporting the objective of cost control and maintain traces for audit.
