Device Quality Manager, Quality and Lean

The Device Quality Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring Amazon products meet quality standards. During new product development, the DQM will develop an out-of-box audit process for factory production based on critical customer use cases. The DQM will work with the contract manufacturer to deliver a robust OBA process that validates product HW/SW functionality and cosmetics characteristics.

The successful candidate will monitor production performance against established quality goals by conducting regular factory audits. They will lead small regional teams to assess customer shipment readiness from Southeast Asia manufacturing factories. In the sustaining phase, the DQM will own factory quality, monitoring production performance against established quality goals and leading investigations into any issues that arise.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A degree in ME/IE or related field is required. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in ME/IE or related field.

Work Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering and/or quality roles, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing quality environment. Preferred candidates will have experience working in consumer electronics.

Skills: Problem-solving skills are essential, including delivering solutions to complex problems through data analysis and forensics. Lean and Six Sigma tools such as Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, Design of Experiments, and Value Stream Mapping are also desirable.

Language Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in Vietnamese are required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certifications: Six Sigma Green/Black belt, ASQ CQE/M/A certifications are highly desired.

About The Job And Your Team

The Quality Control (QC) Engineer for Windows, Doors, and Facades is responsible for ensuring that all aluminium products including windows, doors, and fa ades comply with the company s quality standards, as well as relevant industry regulations and specifications. This role includes conducting material inspections, testing finished products, managing quality documentation, and working closely with manufacturing teams to resolve product quality issues. The QC Engineer also plays a key role in driving process optimization and continuous improvement in the production of aluminium-based systems. This position reports directly to the Quality Control Manager.
  • Plan and direct activities related to the development and implementation of quality standards for architectural aluminium works in building projects.
  • Support fabricators on-site by conducting inspections and ensuring adherence to quality procedures for systems used in the projects, aligning with approved fabrication and installation method statements.
  • Deliver training sessions, workshops, and guidance to fabrication teams, covering standard fabrication procedures to maintain high-quality output.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data; provide detailed reports following each site visit and training session.
  • Coordinate with consultants and site representatives for inspections and to address any quality-related issues.

Your Qualifications And Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, a vocational education in mechanics or a related technical discipline will also be considered.
  • Certifications in quality control (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in quality control, specifically in aluminum, fenestration (windows/doors), or fa ade industries.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, and construction-related regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD to read and interpret drawings (drawing creation not required).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience conducting root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for windows, doors, and facades, such as EN 14351-1, CE marking, and energy efficiency standards
  • Proficient in using quality management software (e.g., SAP, Minitab) and MS Office tools.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) are required; proficiency in Arabic is preferred but not essential).
  • Occasional travel to supplier or project sites may be required.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment, which may include exposure to heavy machinery and construction materials.
