Education/Qualification:
• Basic medical degree from recognized institution
• Post-qualification certification
• Qualification Source from: North America, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
• USA: American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
• Canada: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Certificate (FRCPC)

• Performs surgical repair and reconstructive procedures for cleft lip, cleft palate, and associated conditions.
• Oversees preoperative assessment, surgical planning, perioperative management, and long-term postoperative follow-up.
• Monitors speech, hearing, feeding, dental, and developmental outcomes, coordinating with the cleft care team.
• Works closely with pediatricians, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, orthodontists, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, dentists, geneticists, psychologists, and social workers to provide integrated patient care.
• Supervises and mentors junior staff, residents, and fellows involved in surgical and multidisciplinary cleft care.
• Accepts clinically appropriate referrals from internal and external facilities.
• Participates in on-call duties for urgent or complex pediatric surgical consultations and interventions.
