We are seeking a talented professional to fill the position of Compliance Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) department in achieving their objectives through planned reviews, special projects and ad hoc assignments.
Job Description- Support the GRC team in developing, maintaining and updating all policies and procedures related to internal controls and compliance.
- Assist in the risk assessment of assigned engagements and support the design, implementation and operation of the Risk Management Framework.
- Perform reviews for assigned projects and ensure timely completion.
- Develop internal controls questionnaires, data analytics tools and detailed work papers incorporating test schedules, observations, conclusions and ensuring that review objectives are satisfactorily met.
- Perform analysis on financial schedules and supporting documentation.
- Evaluate evidence gathered and testing performed to ensure that all review steps have been addressed appropriately and concluded, bearing in mind that the internal controls being tested are suitable, efficient and effective and the review objective has been met.
- Discuss any weaknesses or concerns with stakeholders and raise exceptions, highlighting related risks and recommending corrective action or improvements.
- Professional qualification in accounting or a related field.
- Fluency in Arabic language (written and verbal).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a big 4 firm.
- Ability to understand required operating standards of a range of business operations.
- Clear understanding of financial internal controls.
