The Financial Reporting Analyst works under the direction of the Controller on Financial Reporting for the bank including financial report preparation, data generation and financial performance analysis.
- Produce and deliver the regulatory reports on an accurate and timely manner for the entities under remit Implement controls and reviews on the regulatory reports with respect to their compliance with local regulatory reporting rules.
- Preparation, review and submission of all monthly, quarterly, Half-Yearly, and Yearly Banking Return Forms (BRFs) and Islamic Banking Return Forms (IRFs) to UAE Central Bank
- Expertise on Pillar 1 and Pillar 3 Disclosures in accordance with latest regulations prescribed by CBUAE
- Review of Central Bank reports prepared by team members, and authorisation/submission of reports on CB portal
- Perform Quality Assurance, and investigation and remediation of data validation errors and rejection reports
- Perform General Ledger reconciliation to generate accurate reporting
- Perform Control & cross checks for the returns/ fillings before uploading on the CB portal
- Interpretation & impact analyses of new circulars/notices as issued by the Regulator and implementation thereof

What You'll Be Doing
- Producing market risk templates for review and governance before submission, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Reviewing all new features, which impact market risk reporting, maintaining regulatory reporting requirements
- Staying current on regulatory changes affecting capital and risk reporting
- Ensuring reports meet local and international regulatory expectations (e.g., Basel IV, CRD IV, CRR III, IFR, BCBS 239), and addressing any audit findings promptly
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Data Governance, to ensure reporting processes are integrated and aligned with regulatory and business needs
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency, implementing process enhancements, and establishing solid data controls and documentation standards for reporting
- Serving as the primary contact for regulatory audits, addressing questions related to capital and trading book reporting
- 4+ years of experience as a regulatory reporting manager in a bank or consultancy (Big 4 or similar) as a financial services consultant with a focus on reporting for trading books (impacts of FRTB)
- Experience working with financial reporting for banks, in particular CoRep market risk and trading book
- Impressive analytical and numerical skills
- The ability to make sense of regulations and develop processes and frameworks to compile new reports and improve existing ones
- To be a motivated self-starter and independent worker
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to local cultural aspects while working in a highly diverse environment

OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Although contracted by and based in the Dubai office, the Senior Regulatory Reporting Executive "the Role" will be a shared resource of the Dubai and Cayman offices on a 70/30 basis and will work on DIFC, ADGM, BVI and Cayman matters on an as needed basis (subject to capacity).
The following service lines will be the primary focus of the Role:
• ADGM/BVI Annual Accounts filings for selected clients.
• AEOI (FATCA & CRS) self-certification filings for ADGM/DIFC clients.
• Economic substance reporting ("ESR") for selected clients.
• Supporting the Team Leader with FAR filings
• Books of account ("BOA") for selected clients.
• Support the Law Firm with the annual ESN filings (and BO) and act as the UAE point of contact for the Cayman Corporate Governance ESN filings team.
The clients being serviced by the Role will generally (but not necessarily) have a nexus with the Dubai, Hong Kong, or Singapore offices of WPS or Walkers (the "Asia/Middle East offices"). The role will require strong time management skills.
REPORTING
The Role will generally be self-sufficient in respect of any ADGM/DIFC/BVI matters and will be required to remain current on emerging corporate governance trends and changes in relevant jurisdictions. The incumbent will have client-facing responsibilities across the Middle East and Asia and will be required to support a portfolio of clients, the clients being serviced are some of the most important for the business, and simultaneously with managing project-based work and meeting regulatory filing deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Helping the Dubai office establish the mentioned service lines for ADGM and DIFC clients and being responsible for the delivery of those service lines.
• Assisting with the delivery of the existing ESR service line for selected clients, subject to capacity as determined by the Team Leader.
• Assisting the Team Leader with FAR filings on the CIMA REEFs portal, subject to capacity as determined by the Team Leader.
• All matters associated with or incidental to the delivery of the service lines, including:
o liaising with colleagues, clients, other service providers, and/or relevant authorities as necessary.
o tracking activity and providing updates to the Team Leader as and when requested.
o helping resolve any issues encountered and escalating same where necessary.
o assisting with the invoicing process as necessary.

THE CANDIDATE

• Demonstrable experience/knowledge of corporate requirements/obligations and accounting practices in key relevant jurisdictions;
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to client service excellence;

Design and develop Automated reports, dashboards for Regulatory reporting Teams in collaboration with the stake holders.
Responsible to ensure UAT on projects are managed efficiently and in a timely fashion in collaboration with multiple teams across the Bank including Finance ,Technology,Operations, Business streams & PMO.
Responsible to ensure accuracy and Timely provision of Data / Information required in completion of Monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting for Financial & Management Reporting team for UAE & Overseas Locations.
Work as a Techno Functional team member representing Finance teams during implementation of Projects, URFs / CRs and enhancements of Finance information systems, applications in the area of Regulatory, Financial & Management reporting, by interfacing between various Finance Technology,Operations, Business streams & PMO
Work with Finance Information team & Projects team and Technology teams to carry out UAT in Finance information systems, for Regulatory Financial & Management reporting systems & surviving applications to ensure accuracy of information and reporting.
Design & Develop Procedures, queries & templates in a standard and re-usable fashion for executing and completing the UAT in a timely fashion.
Highlight to management any potential issues in projects, BAU and regular deliverables, MIS generation due to any flaws, work around / manual approach being taken in the source systems and processes for future resolutions.
Handle queries and attend to any periodic and ADHOC Reporting requirements from primarily Regulatory, Financial & Management reporting team & other Finance teams of UAE & Overseas.
Initiate, Track and ensure timely resolution of service tickets related to Core banking, T24,ERP,PRIME,FMC,OFSAA, CPR and other surviving applications that impact Regulatory, Financial , Management and MIS Reporting for UAE & Overseas.
Provide support on ADHOC,BAU requirements month end execution and reporting for Regulatory, Financial & Management reporting team.
Minimum 5+ Years of experience in Banking / Financial industry.
Hands on experience on Oracle PL SQL
Hands on experience on MS SQL
Advanced MS Excel skill
Good knowledge on Banking Operations & functions, Products & reporting structure
Analytical thinking
Techno functional background
Strong system skill
Expert in planning and execution of UAT for projects of varied sizes
Handson knowledge on Power BI reporting tool.
