The Role
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the development and evaluation of renewable energy projects from concept through to execution. This role requires a strong technical background, solid project management skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Financial modelling experience is a plus, as the role involves supporting project origination and evaluation to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
The Responsibilities

• Lead the project development process for renewable energy projects, including site assessment, feasibility studies, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with the other teams to identify and evaluate new project opportunities.
• Conduct technical evaluations of potential projects, including resource assessment and engineering reviews.
• Assist in financial modelling and analysis to support project valuation and investment decisions.
• Support the company with reviewing and assessing RFQs for EPCs and equipment suppliers and with the submission of tender proposals.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, landowners, and community groups to facilitate project development.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prepare and present project proposals, updates, and progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Support the company with reviewing of project agreements such as PPAs, Grid Connection Agreements, EPCs, equipment supply agreements, O&Ms, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in project development within the renewable energy sector (Europe, Americas, and/or Africa).
• Strong technical background with a solid understanding of renewable energy technologies; experience with BESS is a plus.
• Proven experience reviewing PPAs, Grid Connection Agreements, EPCs, O&Ms, and RFQs.
• Experience in reviewing tender documents and preparing/submitting tender proposals.
• Financial modelling and project evaluation experience is an advantage.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and with external stakeholders.
