- Current awareness of local and global flavour trends, culinary trends, and new technology in food applications;
- People Leadership and team development, remote Line management would be a benefit.

The Manager of Market Research & Insights is responsible for managing comprehensive market research initiatives to provide strategic insights that support the DET's decision-making and strategic planning. This role involves managing the execution of both qualitative and quantitative research studies, analyzing market trends and consumer behavior, and ensuring that insights are integrated across business functions.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive market research strategy that meticulously aligns with the DET's overarching goals and objectives.
- Design and execution of market research projects, including both qualitative and quantitative studies, to deeply understand market dynamics and consumer behavior.
- Manage the analysis of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics to provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage and mentor a team of market researchers and analysts, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring high-quality research outputs.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure that market insights are effectively integrated into business strategies and operations.
- Select and oversight of external research agencies and vendors to ensure research projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and actionable insights.
- Stay abreast of new research methodologies and technologies, integrating innovative approaches into the research strategy as appropriate.
- Synthesize complex data into strategic insights to guide strategic decision-making.
- Develop and implement sophisticated key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track the effectiveness of market strategies.

- Act as the primary liaison for market insights within the department, coordinating with other departments to integrate insights across the DET.
- Build and maintain influential relationships with industry experts, research firms, and market analysts to stay ahead of market trends.
- Contribute to the development of the Global Competitiveness & Reporting's strategy and drive overall performance through providing inputs on the Market Research & Insights's strategy, priorities and initiatives.
- Contribute to take onus of the Section's achievement against set OKRs/KPIs to ensure the Section performs in line with overall performance targets.
- Contribute to the determination of the Section's annual and long-term capital and operating budgetary requirements to ensure strategic and operational plans can be delivered.
- Contribute to take accountability for the Section's budgetary performance, ensuring minimal divergences and that expenditures are optimized and directed towards value adding activities.
- Contribute to the development of Section specific policies, procedures and processes, ensuring full alignment with the prevalent and applicable laws and regulations.
