My Client is a large international Service Company who are seeking a Reservoir Engineer to be based in Dubai for a 12 month renewable contract.
Responsibilities- A professional Reservoir Engineer with over 20 years experience internationally in the oil and gas industry
- Broad hands-on Reservoir Engineering experience covering a wide range of hydrocarbon systems including oil, volatile oil, gas, and condensates.
- Experienced in appraisal and development of both green and mature fields in clastic settings
- Work as a reservoir engineer and a team leader in integrated reservoir studies and reserves evaluation
- Specialty in compositional and black oil Reservoir Simulation in both single porosity medium and dual porosity dual permeability media
- Specialty in PVT reserves estimation, classification, and booking
- Good working knowledge of EoR (CO2, Polymers, and Miscible flooding)
- Comprehensive knowledge of NEXUS family of simulation software as well as others like ECLIPSE; working knowledge of Petrel simulator.
- Experienced in use of various standard industry packages for reservoir analyses (IPM Suite), well test analysis (PIE, Fekete, Safire), nodal analysis (Prosper, VFPi), fluid analysis (PVTi, PVTP), fracture analysis (FRACA), static modelling (GOCAD, Petrel), streamline simulation (3DSL), Economic evaluation (PEEP), Well/Field production performance (OFM), and others.
- Geographical experience covers Africa and the Middle East.
- Proven abilities in surveillance management of reservoir and dynamic simulation model.

SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEER (ONSHORE BASED)
Technical competencies: Strong experience in reservoir management and field development, integrated subsurface studies, and reservoir simulation. Experience with Enhanced Oil Recovery mechanisms is highly appreciated.
Job Requirements Main Activities: To carry out all aspects of reservoir management activities including field development performance evaluation, data acquisition, strategic surveillance, and monitoring master plans to ensure optimal development.
To carry out pattern balancing and to ensure efficient production and injection processes to maximize vertical and lateral sweep efficiency. Lead design and participate in integrated field reviews and field development plans (RMP considering current wells and planned infill wells).
To design and lead the implementation of project surveillance programs including pressure transient surveys, tracer surveys, interference testing, observation well placement, and cased hole logging programs.
To recommend reservoir areas and programs for pilot studies of various oil recovery enhancement techniques. To work within an interdisciplinary team to build and quality control the dynamic model. Integrate SCAL core analyses, PVT data, and geological models during the development of integrated models for full-field development plans.
To ensure the quality, traceability, and reporting of reservoir simulation studies to maintain sustainable reservoir models. Conduct analytical and phenomenological studies if necessary as alternative justifications to presented studies.
General responsibility to adhere to company HSE guidelines and practices, with a strong focus on leading environmental and community initiatives in operational areas.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications: Masters degree in Geosciences and/or Reservoir Engineering. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English (speaking, writing, reading). Job Purpose
Co-ordinates and carries out Petroleum Engineering activities related to Reservoir Management processes and activities.

- Prepares investigative programs and discusses with Supervisor and supervises the implementation on problematic wells,
- Coordinates action programs and follows-up progress.
- Analyses status of problematic wells post investigative and/or corrective action to provide technical support for recommending workover.
- Alerts Supervisor on any unsafe well for urgent action.
- Reviews routine or special procedures for related activities such as Safe emergencyshutdown/safe installation/reinstallation/removal of equipment and monitors activities as necessary.

Job Description
Co-ordinates and carries out Petroleum Engineering activities related to Reservoir Management processes and activities.
Collects performance data for all wells (oil, and water injectors), analyses well and reservoir problems, recommends investigative and / or corrective measures to Supervisor and supervises the implementation in the field in collaboration with TL Reservoir Management, Ops and Drilling PE's.
Co-ordinates daily, related activities with Ops, DD, Site Authority, and other concerned personnel. Prepares, E well books, OFM, MBAL and well test analysis with SAPHIR.
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)
- Prepares investigative programs and discusses with Supervisor and supervises the implementation on problematic wells,
- Coordinates action programs and follows-up progress.
- Analyses status of problematic wells post investigative and / or corrective action to provide technical support for recommending workover.
- Alerts Supervisor on any unsafe well for urgent action.
- Reviews routine or special procedures for related activities such as Safe emergency shutdown / safe installation / reinstallation / removal of equipment and monitors activities as necessary.
- Provides support to offshore personnel in investigating specific problems and recommends alternative course of action.
- Alerts of any shortfall(s) that may later adversely affect acceptance of the Reservoir Management activities.
- Assists Supervisor in reviewing and accepting the (newly drilled / worked over) well integrity certificate issued by Drilling Operation Division.
- Implements the surveys (e.g., annulus, temperature, PLT, MFC, pressure gradient surveys, cavity test), tests requirement for efficient monitoring of well integrity.
- Follows-up and supervises the implementation of monitoring surveys.

- Assists Supervisor in the preparation of annual field status report and highlights strong and weak areas.
- Examines, on daily basis, rig activities' summary sheet and summarizes related activities for Supervisor's review.
