Position: Senior Petroleum Production Engineer (Digital Strategy Consultant)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Onsite)
Duration: 3+ Months contract
Role Summary
We seek two highly experienced Petroleum Production Engineers to support a strategic client engagement in Abu Dhabi. The consultants will review all current digital initiatives related to production operations, identify integration points and redundancies, and develop a forward-looking roadmap for digital optimisation. This is a critical engagement shaping the client's production digitalization strategy.
Role Responsibilities
• Review and assess existing digital systems and initiatives supporting production operations.
• Map integration requirements and highlight process or system redundancies.
• Identify capability and technology gaps across production digital workflows.
• Engage cross-functional stakeholders to validate requirements and shape future-state designs.
• Deliver a Conceptual Digital Design Document that:
o Defines a streamlined, integrated digital production landscape
o Highlights key gaps, duplication, and opportunities for enhancement
o Outlines a strategic roadmap for production optimisation
Required Experience
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Petroleum Production Engineering with an emphasis on onshore surface facilities.
• Demonstrable expertise in digital solution design in the petroleum production domain.
• Prior involvement in digital transformation, production surveillance, or optimisation initiatives.
• Ability to engage both business and IT stakeholders in defining digital architecture and data needs.
• Strong documentation, analysis, and communication skills.
Preferred Application Experience
