  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire safety equipment
  • Familiar with Building Management Systems (BMS) and preventive maintenance software
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative during assigned shifts
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills for logging maintenance requests and reports

GRMS Technician at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina AL Arab Resort & Spa

Hotel: Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa (RKTHA), Al Rafaa, Mina Al Arab

Reliable hardware and seamless software are at the heart of every day-to-day IHG experience. To keep things running smoothly, we’re searching for a proactive and passionate GRMS Technician to make sure our computers are installed properly, working efficiently and safe from any cyberthreats. Sound familiar?

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Ensures all work follows safe work practices and procedures
  • Responds immediately to all work requests which concern Health and Safety
  • Responds to guest requests promptly in a professional and courteous manner
  • Operates, maintains, and programs all GRMS components and cabling
  • Ensures the optimum performance of all GRMS equipment and servers by effectively following the preventive maintenance routine
  • Evaluates and appropriately respond to equipment usage and energy efficiency
  • Completes all work orders with due diligence
    oMaintains a daily logbook highlighting problems, solutions, and activities
    oMaintain GRMS shop drawings and programming files for each room type
    oMaintain equipment catalogue and tagging directories
  • Completes tasks as assigned by the IT Director or its delegate
  • Maintains health and safety documentation and records for the assigned area
  • Reports and documents potential safety hazards
  • Participates as directed in the emergency response team
What We need from you:
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science from a reputed institution
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills demonstrated through previous experience of use of spreadsheets
  • Strong knowledge of hotel technology principles and practices
  • Familiarity with organization design models and decision-making framework
  • Effective presentation, communication, consulting and interpersonal/consensus-building skills to provide information to management and colleagues
