Amazon’s AMZL team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to help develop and implement a world-class security program for our AMZL (last mile) network. This program will ensure that our customers receive their purchases on time and at the best possible cost. The LP Specialist II – AMZL will partner with stakeholders and program teams across various cities within a region to execute company security policies and provide security services. This includes protecting assets such as lives, inventory in transit and within sort centers, buildings, equipment, data, and intellectual property within the assigned locations and surrounding areas. The LP Specialist II will be a key member of the AMZL last mile team, collaborating with regional and cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform risk assessments of sites and operational models, and develop mitigation measures.
- Understand central and state security issues, and ensure site compliance with security policies and industry standards.
- Oversee the testing and acceptance of site security systems, including access control systems.
- Establish and implement procedures and prevention programs to reduce losses, pilferage, and accidents, including safety and hazard analyses.
- Conduct security audits to identify non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage guarding vendors to meet performance standards and service level agreements, including recruitment and retention strategies.
- Develop and deploy security training programs.
- Serve as the department’s security subject matter expert and liaison.
- Address safety and security incidents, including workplace violence, and test incident response plans.
- Track, report, and improve key performance metrics.
- Coordinate with support teams such as Worldwide Operations Security, IT Security, and Network Engineering.
- Apply Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies to improve processes and efficiency.
- Graduate with 5+ years of experience in investigative or loss prevention, preferably in a multinational environment, OR
- 10+ years of armed forces/law enforcement experience with at least 2 years in a corporate setting.
