THE ROLE

Assists the Program Director and Senior Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Manager in the overall management of the Occupational Safety and Health Management processes and systems. Lead direct and supervise OSH professionals and manage implementation of the OSH programs processes and strategies over a defined geographic area or a physical project location and construction projects worksites.

Overseeing daily operations related to occupational safety and health in the construction industry by effectively executing assigned duties ensuring the strict adherence to the Clients Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) management system requirements OSHAD SF applicable Codes of Practices mechanisms directives from the UAE Authorities and other pertinent regulations aligning with KBRs Zero Harm and Courage to Care corporate philosophy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate the delivery of the OSH products and services to own Management Team in support of business acquisition and execution. Duties are likely to include interfacing with UAE regulatory bodies and authorities as well as client representatives.
  • Frequently interfaces with peers subordinates and operations personnel. Likely to be required to participate in teams collaborative efforts as well as to work individually.
  • Rational communication detailed narrative and emotional intelligence in dealing with complex OSH management issues that require in-depth knowledge attention to detail and sense for the moment.

EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • A minimum of 15 years of vivid experience in Health and Safety domain preferred with a minimum of 7 years specifically in a role of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Manager Lead or above.
  • OSHAD SF Practitioner (preferred but not mandatory)
  • OSHMS Level 6 Diploma
  • OHSMS (ISO 45001) Lead Auditor Certification
  • Valid safety training certificates indicating courses attended and subject matter expertise.

  • OSHMS ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor Certification and a thorough auding experience.

  • ADOSH SF Practitioner certification (Preferred but not obligatory)

  • High level of report writing and data analytic skills.

It reports to the Chief Strategy Officer and some responsibilities include:

  1. Monitor company level risks and coordinate with the departments to identify potential risks
  2. Plan, design and implement an overall risk management process for the organization
  3. Design and implement organization wide risk mitigation processes and policies
  4. Report risk in an appropriate way for different audiences, so that they understand the most significant risks and ensure they are aware of risks and understand their accountability for individual risk

Project Risk Management Specialist

This role oversees the entire project risk management system, managing and mitigating project risks to ensure successful project delivery.

The Program Risk Manager will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with project requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategies to mitigate potential risks and maintaining an overall risk register.
  • Collaborating with project teams to foster a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining open communication with clients, supervision consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities to address any concerns.

Key qualifications include a bachelor's degree, 10 years of experience in large power and water distribution projects, and proven experience in a similar role.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Effective leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
