About the role
As a Sommelier at La Dame de Pic you will be working closelywith the Head Sommelier in updating the wine list, ordering wines, and rotating wine stock. You will have the opportunity to part of an exceptional Food and Beverage Team, using your excellent knowledge of wine pairing to make wine suggestions to pair with our authentic dishes. In addition to this you will also be attentive to our guests, recommending wines based on their preferences. You will also ensure wines are served at the right temperature and with the perfect glassware, you will have a natural flair for recognising opportunities to upsell any beverage creating an amazing guest experience. La Dame de Pic, ten Michelin starred Chef World-wide including the historical three Michelin star in Valence, embodies Anne Sophie Pic’s elegance and is designed to reflect her unique culinary style, showcasing varying contrasts. Soft pink hues and rich plums are matched with light clay tones and metallic accents, while a peony bas-relief graces the walls. Taking center stage, a marvelous open kitchen, creates an immersive experience. La Dame de Pic is powerful and charismatic, yet elegant and feminine
About you
Ideally, we’d like you to have a solid background in luxury restaurant or hotels, having worked at this level for at least 2 years with a level 2 qualification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET). International experience in a similar role would also be a plus. Ideally you will have experience preparing wine lists, maintaining wine stock and training staff.
