Role Overview:

Our Client currently operates a single, group-wide payroll solution that was internally developed and heavily customized over time to meet internal policies and local regulations. This legacy platform has been running on IBM AS400 (mini mainframe) since 2000. With the shift to a shared services operating model—and due to differences in job architecture and policies—four separate instances of the payroll system were created. As part of our transformation journey, these legacy instances will be decommissioned and replaced by a modern SAP EC Payroll (SAP ECPY) solution.

To support this transition, we are seeking a seasoned SAP Testing Manager with deep expertise in SAP EC Payroll Implementation (ECPY) to lead and coordinate all end-to-end testing activities for the SAP program. The consultant will be responsible for validating payroll processes across all relevant SAP modules and integrations, ensuring alignment with MAF’s compliance requirements, statutory regulations, and internal business policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the SAP testing strategy and execution plan with emphasis on Payroll, Time Management, and HR/HCM modules.
  • Coordinate test activities across multiple phases (SIT, UAT, Regression, Performances).
  • Develop and review test scenarios, cases, and scripts for Payroll including:
    • Off-cycle payroll
    • Local Regulations (Tax, Pension, Social Security.etc)
    • Retroactive payroll
    • Statutory compliance
    • GL postings & integrations
    • Accruals (Gratuity, Leave Salary, Leave Passage, Bonus, Medical Insurance, Pension/social security.etc)
    • Variance report
    • Leave Salary Calculation
    • Final settlements
  • Manage testing risks, defects, and quality metrics; run daily defect triage with client stakeholders.
  • Interface with client’s business and IT teams to align on testing scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Guide client teams and junior consultants on SAP payroll testing best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 8+ years in SAP testing with 3+ years focused on SAP Payroll (country-specific knowledge preferred: (e.g., Middle East, Asia & Africa).
  • Prior consulting experience in managing SAP test cycles and deliverables in client-facing roles.
  • Hands-on with tools like SAP Solution Manager, HP ALM, or Jira.
  • Experience in managing payroll testing across multiple interfaces (e.g., time systems, finance, banks, tax authorities).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Must/Nice to Have:
  • SAP Certification (Cloud Payroll) – Must Have
  • ISTQB or similar testing qualification – Nice To Have

Preferred Qualifications

Your background

The Customer Success Manager (CSM) works directly with customers to guide them through their business journey with our solutions. The CSM works to increase customer satisfaction, retention, renewals, references, and upsells for Cloud products within their assigned solution portfolio. The CSM oversees key customer milestones throughout the customer lifecycle, from deal signature through system provisioning, monitoring implementation progress, and business case achievement. The CSM is expected to serve as the strategic point of contact for the customer within the assigned solution portfolio and to leverage appropriate resources across SAP functions to maintain overall customer health.
**What You'll Do**
As a CSM within the SAP Academy for Customer Success, you will be responsible to:
+ Successfully complete a 10-month learn-apply program, which includes classroom phases and field phases with your CSM team, that enhances your support in the CSM role, a critical customer-facing function within our dynamic Customer Success board area.
+ Immerse yourself in multi-dimensional, experiential learning with a focus on digital transformation, global intelligence, human skills, business and technology acumen, solution/industry knowledge, and strategy/tools/process.
+ Enhance skills around your solution portfolio, managing customer retention, and driving value realization.
+ Receive onboarding in your local market with on-the-job training and mentoring by a senior CSM professional in the field. You will have the opportunity to work both behind the scenes and directly with customers.
The program will enrich your knowledge of SAP and the Customer Success board area and give you the professional experience to be ready to serve our customers. We offer full-time employment from day one with practical learning application for your role. Upon successful completion of the program, you will move into a direct customer-facing CSM role in your market and continue to receive mentoring and coaching support to accelerate your growth.

**SAP SuccessFactors (Human Capital Management - HCM)** - Knowledge in core HR and payroll, talent management, employee experience management, HR analytics, workforce planning, and sales performance management.
**SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM)** - Knowledge in Supply Chain, Asset Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, or Product and Project lifecycle management.
**SAP Customer Experience (CX)** - Knowledge of e-commerce, sales, customer service, and marketing processes.
**SAP Business Transformation Management (BTM) -** Knowledge in Business Process Management/Business Process Automation applications.

A Solution Advisor works with our customers and prospects to help them solve business challenges and meet their business objectives using SAP solutions. As a part of the sales team, a Solution Advisor is the “subject matter expert” responsible for the functional and technical knowledge within the sales cycle. A Solution Advisor provides deal support by participating in discovery sessions, executive meetings and presentations and will deliver software demonstrations that help the customer understand SAP’s unique value proposition. In addition to deal support, the Solution Advisor will participate in marketing events, will lead Design Thinking sessions, and collaborate with the broader sales team to identify whitespace opportunities at existing accounts.

  • 2-3 years of professional experience with a strong foundation in technical and business processes, exposure to relevant technologies/ solutions, and customer-facing skills.
    • Technical and business process knowledge, combined with strong complex problem-solving skills, to support solution delivery and operational efficiency through hands-on experience with relevant technologies and industry-standard tools.
