Essential Qualifications:
- Higher Secondary or equivalent
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality/leisure industry

As an Assistant Security Manager, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of security personnel, work with Department Heads to confirm all staff understands security procedures, and organising patrolling of the property to deliver a safe Guest and Team Member experience. - Maintain good communication and work relationships in all areas of the hotel

Job DescriptionThe Assistant Security Manager supports the Security Manager in overseeing all aspects of safety and security within the hotel premises. This role ensures that guests, team members, and hotel property are protected through effective security procedures, team supervision, and emergency preparedness.
Assist the Security Manager in managing the daily operations of the Security Department.
Supervise and guide the security team to maintain high levels of alertness and professionalism.
Ensure all security systems, equipment, and procedures are functioning effectively and are regularly maintained.
Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV), access controls, fire safety systems, and patrol activities.
Conduct regular inspections of the hotel to identify potential security risks and report findings.
Respond promptly and efficiently to any incidents, emergencies, or complaints, and follow up with proper documentation.
Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
Assist in training new and existing security team members on safety protocols, fire drills, and emergency response procedures.
Maintain proper incident logs, reports, and records in line with hotel policies.
Support the enforcement of hotel policies, including access control, parking regulations, and guest safety standards.
Conduct investigations related to theft, disturbances, or any unusual activities.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism at all times.
Minimum 3 years of security experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Diploma or degree in Security Management, or a related field is preferred.
Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency procedures, and fire safety protocols.
Familiarity with CCTV, access control systems, and emergency response tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
Physically fit with the ability to work on shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Undertakes full responsibility of the security officers for supervising and enforcing security policies and procedures in accordance with Novotel guidelines and ensuring compliance with all local regulations.
- Familiarizes with all procedures related to fire prevention and evacuation and ensures prompt decision-making regarding the safety and security of guests and employees.
- Develops and trains hotel talents in firefighting and fire evacuation as per local civil defence.
- Thoughtfully exercises initiative in decision-making and alerts or informs related executives as situations require.
