Responsibilities
  • Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Defender XDR, and Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) for real-time security monitoring.
  • Implement Azure Security Center policies, vulnerability assessments, and compliance controls.
  • Set up Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions using Azure AD, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
  • Enforce Zero Trust security models through network segmentation, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Just-in-Time (JIT) access.
  • Configure Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Web Application Firewall (WAF), and DDoS Protection for securing cloud workloads.
  • Monitor security logs and alerts from Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, and Log Analytics.
  • Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and mitigate threats effectively.
  • Automate threat response workflows using Logic Apps, Playbooks, and Azure Functions.
  • Implement Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) and automated remediation processes.
  • Automate security policies and configurations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM Templates.
  • Develop CI/CD security guardrails for DevSecOps pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
  • Implement automated compliance monitoring and enforcement using Azure Policy and Microsoft Purview.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, and CIS benchmarks.
  • Develop security best practices and governance frameworks for cloud security hardening.
  • Conduct security posture assessments and cloud penetration testing.
  • Support cross-cloud security integration for Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) workloads.
  • Implement identity federation, workload protection, and cloud-native security controls.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud Security Engineering, with at least 1 year focused on Azure Security.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Identity Protection.
  • Strong expertise in IAM, RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust security models.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates) for security automation.
  • Experience working with SIEM, SOAR, and security operations (SOC) tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking for security challenges.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with Cloud, DevOps, and Compliance teams.
  • Ability to document security architectures, incident response plans, and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with multi-cloud security and hybrid security models.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven threat detection and predictive security analytics.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the security and compliance of infrastructure and application technologies to protect customers and employees from attacks.
  • Encourage a 'Shift Left' Mindset by proactively embedding security requirements from the start of the development cycle.
  • Perform security assessments and gap analyses, providing appropriate remediations to implementation teams.
  • Take responsibility for securing various infrastructure components including OS, databases, virtual private networks, proxies, firewalls, data centers, and Active Directory.
  • Conduct configuration reviews and audits for network components and appliances.
  • Participate in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing activities.
  • Review security code for Ansible and Jenkins scripts.
  • Evaluate end-point solutions such as AV and EDR.
  • Assess next-generation firewall reviews, IDS, IPS.
  • Review application security and WAF rules.
  • Conduct policy reviews for firewalls, proxies, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field such as computer science, cyber/information security, physics, mathematics, or similar.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, information security, human resource management, finance, or international business from reputed institutes like Harvard.
  • Certifications in Network Security (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) and Security Pentest (OSCP, GPEN, LPT, CPT) or similar are desirable.
  • Minimum 4-9 years of experience in an information security function with a strong background in information technology, stakeholder management, and people management.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Network Security Engineer.
  • Deep foundational knowledge and understanding of Information Security concepts.
  • Good understanding of enterprise-level target architecture and public and private cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS).
  • Hands-on experience in solutioning technology architectures involving perimeter protection, core protection, and end-point protection/detection.
  • Strong skill set in Endpoint technologies such as AV, EDR, SIEM.
  • Automation skills in scripting languages like Python.
  • Ability to interpret security requirements mandated by oversight functions and ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills for effectively communicating security threats and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
