**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on **bridges and tunnels** .
+ Proven expertise in the design and construction of **conventional, segmental, precast, and steel bridges** , as well as **tunnels** .
+ Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, MIDAS, CSI, or similar).

We are seeking a highly experienced **Principal Highway Engineer** to join our dynamic **Dubai Highway Team** . The successful candidate will play a key technical and leadership role in the planning, design, and delivery of major highway and road infrastructure projects in the UAE and the wider Middle East region.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, guide the development of design solutions, ensure technical excellence, and support the growth of our Transportation business by fostering client relationships and mentoring future engineering talent.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead the design and delivery of highway and road infrastructure projects, including expressways, urban roads, interchanges, junction improvements, and active mobility corridors.
+ Provide technical leadership and oversight for geometric design, horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, and associated highway elements in accordance with UAE and international standards (AASHTO, DM, RTA, AASHTO Green Book).
+ Review, coordinate, and integrate designs with other disciplines (structures, drainage, utilities, traffic, and environmental teams).
+ Act as the technical authority for complex engineering challenges, ensuring designs meet safety, sustainability, and constructability requirements.
+ Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, design documents, specifications, and tender documents.
+ Engage with clients (such as RTA, ADM, and other regional authorities), attend project meetings, and provide expert technical input.
+ Contribute to project planning, resource allocation, and quality assurance to deliver projects on time and within budget.

**Qualifications**

+ Independently carry out designs of Electrical Power distribution systems and prepare electrical HV and LV Designs, lighting designs for community developments, tunnels, car park structures using PSS Sincal, Dialux, and AGI32 software.
+ Prepare Earthing Design as per IEC- Standards.
+ Prepare Power cable sizing calculations using industry software.
+ Carry out electrical Load Flow Study Short Circuit analysis and Earthing design using industry standard software like ETAP and PSS Sincal.

**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer Electrical - Dry Utilities to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and implementation of dry utility systems for infrastructure projects.
+ Ability to manage/lead a design and approval process ,interfacing with the project team, Clients and Stakeholders
+ In-depth and strong understanding of Dubai/ Abu Dhabi/UAE/KSA and Qatar Authority guidelines is a must.
+ Lead the design from Data collection, validation, identify design gaps, Prepare Concept master plan stage to Detailed Master Plan in terms of utility corridor space proofing, ROW, coordination with wet, roads, transportation, landscape and building teams
+ Develop/Review of Dry utilities Master plan report, derive demand load calculations, tie in point requirements, Full understanding of dry utilities and infrastructure projects from Concept to IFC stage
+ Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects
+ Thorough experience in Grid stations, primary substation requirements, allocating HV corridor up to 400kV level, detailed design of substations, feeder pillars and service turrets, MV up to 33kV and above, LV networks, calculations, excellent report writing skills
+ Understanding of 132/220/400 KV overhead and underground lines, relocation, and protection

+ Strong understating of HV/MV/LV equipment, generators and power backup, traction power for rails including the medium voltage to low voltage distribution
+ Prepare/Review the telecommunication infrastructure Network Design including ducts, manholes
+ Design/Review of Street Lighting for all type of roads, ROW, Lighting Calculations, SLDs, Load
+ schedules, landscape lighting branch wiring etc.,
+ Review the technical deliverables as per local authority and town planning department requirements for each dry services
+ Attend Client design meetings, kick off meetings, progress meetings, workshops, prepare presentation and lead dry utilities design as front end when required, conduct internal trainings, and provide technical support to graduate and engineers
+ Prepare/Review Clarifications to Contractor RFIs, Review/approve any key technical submittals related to electrical works and dry utilities(if required)
+ Work towards digitalization skills, innovations, and improvements to manage workload
+ Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams,
+ manage the projects with low design cost centers of the organization.
+ Manage/lead the team electrical engineers, Senior Engineer and CAD technicians in the project(s).
+ effective time management, planning, reporting to line manager in coordination with project manager and other all relevant disciplines as required.
+ Able to work on multiple bids and proposals and assist the team lead and disciplines lead in terms of pricing, methodology and options
+ Excellent knowledge and focus towards to Quality of design, review and take ownership of the deliverables produced and ensure the design safety is followed in all projects including identifying risks, mitigation, and design assumptions registers update
+ Design of electrical systems and dry utilities using Auto CAD Civil3D experience and skills including ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, BIM etc
+ Experienced in Electrical design softwares such as ETAP, Amtech, Dialux and other power system undefined
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license
+ 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years focused on dry utility design and planning
+ RTA project experience preffered.
+ Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects
+ Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, particularly in dry utility systems
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software and electrical design software
+ Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards relevant to dry utilities
+ Expertise in urban infrastructure planning and sustainable energy solutions
+ Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
+ Willingness to adapt to the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the Dubai market
