As the Head of Risk Management , you will be primarily responsible for the Risk Department of the local UAE “Exness MENA” entity that is licensed by the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority “SCA” as a Trading Broker of OTC Derivatives and Currencies in the Spot Market. This includes managing Exness MENA risk management outsourcing arrangements with the rest of the Exness Group.
You will specify and evaluate potential risks for Exness MENA that may arise from operational factors. You will make suitable decisions for handling them if they arise, observe and report on them, work to avoid them, and review and update the risk management guide according to the financial activity, purposes, and risks of Exness MENA.
Your role includes responsibility for the performance of the local company, looking after the interests of its principals, safeguarding the reputation of the local company and the Exness Group, and promoting Exness Group values and culture.
This implies having a good knowledge of the risk management operations of Exness, a working knowledge of the applicable regulatory and legal framework, and immersing yourself in the company culture. Important duties include identifying misalignments with company objectives, taking relevant remedial actions, and notifying relevant stakeholders in the Exness Group. You will report to the Exness MENA CEO and the Board of Directors.
You will:- Set up and maintain the local Risk Management Department in line with the group’s strategic objectives and liaise with group functions and companies to achieve such strategic objectives.
- Develop the Risks Management guide in line with the local regulatory requirements, present it to the Board of Directors, and update it from time to time as required.
- Register with SCA and act as the main point of contact with them in relation to the Risk Management matters.
- Always maintain accreditation with the Securities and Commodities Authority as Head of Risk Management by fulfilling all duties imposed by the local regulation including, but not limited to, attending the trainings required for the Continuous Professional Development “CPD”.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that all required reports are filed with the competent authorities on a timely manner.
- Ensure that the daily risk management operations of the company run smoothly and in accordance with the relevant laws and directives.
- Liaise with the local CEO, Board of Directors, Operations Manager and Head of Compliance to prevent, mitigate, manage, address and report the following risks:
- Credit Risk.
- Market Risk.
- Operational Risk.
- Settlement Risk.
- Counterparty Risk.
- Commodity Risk.
- Exposure to Risks.
- Liquidity Risk.
- Displaced Commercial Risk.
- Cybersecurity Risk.
- Draft and review risk management reports to the Board of Directors and to group companies, including the implementation of the decisions taken during those meetings.
- Ensure timely reporting, escalation and closure of risk incidents raised by various internal departments.
- Ensure timely closure of findings raised by internal audit, external audit and any regulatory authority in relation to risk management
- University degree in Risk Management or related field
- Minimum of 5 year working experience in the CFD/FX industry or a relevant field
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Arabic is a plus but not a must.
- CISI exams are compulsory (1. UAE Financial Rules and Regulations and 2. Risk in Financial Services)

Responsibilities
- Implement EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards in alignment with Siemens and project contract requirements.
- Develop health and safety plans that ensure compliance with legal, customer, and organizational guidelines.
- Implement and monitor EHS Management Systems following ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, as well as corporate and customer requirements.
- Participate in EHS core team meetings to identify workplace hazards and establish control measures, including for electrical installations, testing and commissioning, hot work, height work, civil work, mechanical and manual material handling, confined spaces, and machine safety.
- Provide guidance and training to site personnel on EHS practices and safety protocols.
- Oversee the selection, evaluation, and performance management of on-site contractors, including handling penalties and incentives.
- Identify training needs and coordinate EHS training programs at various levels.
- Conduct EHS assessments, identify unsafe actions and conditions, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to the Project Manager and EHS Officers.
- Ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the availability of safety equipment at project sites.
- Maintain EHS reporting and coordinate with both internal and external partners on EHS-related matters.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
- Collaborate with EU, project management, and site management to develop and implement strategies aimed at improving employee safety and reducing risks.
- Prepare and update the EHS legal register, staying informed about changes in EHS laws and regulations.
- Recommend updates to internal standards based on evolving EHS laws and regulations.
- 7-10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a preference for candidates who have experience in power plants (e.g., switchyards, switchgears, drives, turbines, transformers, and Electrical Balance of Plant).
- A full-time Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, along with an M. Tech in Industrial Safety or an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) approved by the state technical board/RLI/CLI.
- Strong team player and collaborator with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with lean and agile methods, along with validated tools.
- Willingness to travel and relocate across India based on project requirements.
