Description:
The Planning Engineer “in association
with the resident engineer” shall
develop the Project execution plan considering the proper engineering techniques and milestone sequences
for the Project.
Candidate will set targets for
activities based on each project
activity and ensure it meets DM’s
specifications and requirements.
Planning engineers shall estimate
timescales and costs using specialized
design software packages
(Primavera). One of the major
Planning Engineer's roles is to
monitor “day-to-day” work progress
for the Project and provide accurate
weekly and monthly reports by swiftly
communicating potential progress
delays or project slippages.
Tracking and analyzing field results is another
key responsibility. Planning engineers
continually compare planned and
actual progress and report any
differences to their lead project
manager. Candidate also studies the impact
of alternative approaches.
Qualifications:
The Planning engineer must
have a relevant degree from a
recognized university and a civil engineering background
with knowledge and work
experience of not less than
ten years in design and
construction
programming/planning of
similar projects.
