We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our team as an Academic Researcher. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting or finance, with a PhD in one of these disciplines.

As an Academic Researcher, you will be responsible for undertaking research in line with an agreed research plan, contributing to the content design and delivery of the curriculum of our courses, and delivering classes online to students.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Undertake teaching and assessment duties
• Contribute to the development of new academic programs
• Deliver high-quality research outputs, including publications and conference presentations
• Collaborate with colleagues on research projects and grant applications
• Support student recruitment and admissions processes

Essential qualifications include a PhD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, a Bachelor's degree from a recognised University, fluency in English, and experience working in culturally diverse teams. Desirable qualifications include membership of relevant professional bodies, experience of delivering teaching to undergraduate students, and associate membership of the Higher Education Academy.

The appointment is conditional upon successful completion of all Labour and Immigration formalities. The candidate is responsible for obtaining degree attestations within six months of joining.

Qualifications :

• 2 years in Quantitative Research/Trading with specialization in spreads/option strategies;
• Experience with market-making trading strategies;
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis data mining and predictive modeling;
• Understanding of market microstructure;
• Experience with using L2 / L3 market data for research;
• Exceptional quantitative and mathematical skills adept problem-solving;
• Proficient in any research-oriented programming language (Python preferred) ability to write efficient code;
• Strong collaborative spirit work ethics and a determined drive for success; ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex ideas.

Additional Information :

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science Statistics Mathematics Physics or a related field;
• Good programming skills in programming languages like C/C or Rust.
