This Position reports to:
Local Division Manager, Service

Your Role and Responsibilities

Executing, Automation service orders for commissioning and site support under instructions from Operation Manager or Project Manager following Company Procedures and Customers requirements, in compliance with safety technical and contractual requirements. In addition, also to grow the service business with defined customers

In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

- Work model: {onsite}

  • Verify the correctness of all the hardware connections between the system (DA , MV ,LV System, Operator Interfaces and other network devices) under test making sure that the installed cables and wiring are made according to the related documents and are working properly
  • Properly install and verify the correct functionality of all the installed devices in accordance with FAT results using diagnostic and application tools and following the project documentation as reference
  • Feedback to Engineering department for improvements in schemes, corrections of drawings or any other modifications if required by customer at site after supply.
  • Solve hardware and functional incongruence and mistakes is any found during Site testing phase, modifying the wrong hardware or software items involved and testing again the new hw or software configuration
  • Update the system documentation with proper mark-ups and software configuration periodic updates, maintaining due trace of all the changes, following Company testing procedure indications
  • Obtain the S.A.T (Factory Acceptance Test) certificate from the Customer at the completion of the job, eventually with the list of the pending items not yet completed, in cooperation with the Project Leader and the Project Manager
  • Collects all the update documentation at the conclusion of the Commissioning job and send it to the Project Manager for the delivery of the "As Commissioned" documents to the Engineering Department if changes have been made in agreement with Engineering Department
  • Collects all the Certificates and the other requested documents to complete the so called "Log Project Book" for the specific project and deliver it to the Project Leader and Project Manager for Contractual use.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Professional Qualification in Electrical / Automation Engineering
  • At least 6 years of past experience in the specific field of application or similar fields (i.e. commissioning)
  • Knowledge of the most common testing tools (hardware and computerized)
  • Knowledge of Safe working procedures at site
  • Attitude to interpersonal relationships

What will you be doing

  • Independently execute Electrical Field Service activities during overhaul, repair, and troubleshooting. Being able to work independently and also alongside mechanical service engineers / sub-contractors / shipyard labour on location.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for planning managing and controlling field service operations in their area by service contract requirements company policies and KONE processes.

    The Service Engineer will also be the primary point of contact for all technical or operational issues raised by customers and will be responsible for the costs of maintenance field operations (callouts service repairs and planned maintenance) as well as the revenues generated from callout and service repair sales.

    Responsibilities

    • Accountable for customer satisfaction through quality of service and precise communication including equipment safety and performance

    • Resolving customer service quality complaints and invoicing complaints related to maintenance operations

    • Delivery of service according to the service contract requirements as per the KONE quality standards and the local regulations

    • Control of the field operations costs callouts and service repair sales.

    • Managing the third-party inspection visits and follow-up actions

    • Validates the service contract and technical terms with sales

    • Accountable for the planned maintenance scheduling optimized routing and performing site audits

    • Investigating accidents and following company policy on evidence custody and internal reporting

    • Accountable for the performance of assigned technicians and for their motivation and competence development

    Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechatronics Electronics or Industrial Engineering.

    • A driven and energetic representative with strong analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly.

    • Experience in elevator service operations or service sales is preferred.

    • Fluent in English.

    • Self-motivated goal-oriented and well-organized individual with a strong focus on customer service.

    • Open to applicants from any location; GCC experience is an advantage but not required.

    • Strong aptitude for understanding and analyzing customer needs to provide customized solutions.
