We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Cash Handler in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Cash Handlers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial transactions. As a Cash Handler, you will be responsible for receiving payments, issuing receipts, and counting money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts.

You will establish or identify prices of goods and services, tabulate bills using calculators, and compute and record totals of transactions.

Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as you will assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.

Job Summary :

The Retail Associate will be a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with daily store operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all crafters. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for yarn and crafts (especially knitting and crochet) who enjoys helping others find inspiration and the perfect supplies for their projects.

Key Responsibilities :

• Customer Service :

o Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly and positive shopping experience.

o Assist customers in locating products, answering questions about yarn types, weights, tools, and craft techniques.

o Offer personalized recommendations based on customer needs and project ideas.

o Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and minor issues professionally and escalate complex issues to the Store Manager.

o Demonstrate product features and offer basic craft advice (e.g., how to read a yarn label, basic stitch explanations).

o Accurately process sales transactions using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.

o Handle cash, credit card, and gift card payments with precision.

o Explain store policies, promotions, and loyalty programs to customers.

o Encourage add-on sales and promote featured products or classes.

• Merchandising & Store Maintenance :

o Replenish shelves and displays, ensuring products are well-stocked,

neatly arranged, and visually appealing.

o Assist with receiving and unpacking new merchandise, checking for

accuracy and damage.

o Organize and maintain the backroom and storage areas.

o Ensure the sales floor, restrooms, and common areas are clean, tidy, and

inviting.

o Assist with creating engaging product displays under the direction of the

Store Manager.

• Class & Event Support :

o Provide information to customers about upcoming knitting, crochet, and

other craft classes and workshops.

o Assist with class registrations and help direct customers to the class

area.

o Help prepare the classroom space before and after sessions, ensuring

materials and tools are ready.

• General Duties :

o Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including opening and closing

routines.

o Maintain product knowledge by staying informed about new arrivals,

trends, and crafting techniques.

o Collaborate effectively with the Store Manager and other team members.

o Assist with inventory counts as needed.

Full Requirements :

Education & Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in a specialty
• Experience with a POS system.

Skills & Knowledge :

• Passion for Yarn & Crafts : A strong interest in and familiarity with knitting,

crochet, and other common crafts (e.g., embroidery, macrame).

• Basic Knitting & Crochet Skills : Ability to demonstrate basic stitches (e.g., knit,

purl, single crochet, double crochet) and understand basic pattern terminology.

Intermediate skills are a significant advantage.

• Customer Service Excellence : A friendly, positive, and patient demeanor with a
• Communication Skills : Clear and articulate verbal communication skills to

interact effectively with customers and colleagues.

• Interpersonal Skills : Ability to build rapport with customers and work well

within a team.

• Attention to Detail : Accuracy in handling transactions and merchandising

products.

• Basic Math Skills : Competency in performing basic calculations for sales

transactions.

• Reliability & Punctuality : Dependable and able to adhere to scheduled shifts.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift (up to 10 kg), and reach to stock shelves.

• Cultivating successful relationships with retail customers.

This position is responsible to assist the Manager on ensuring smooth daily operations in the Salon & Boutique, and providing efficient services to all guests professionally as a customer-focused role. Reporting directly to the Store Manager and indirectly to the Operations Manager, this position will be situated in TWG Tea Salon & Boutique and is required to follow the weekly duty roster as planned out by the Store Manager.

Job Descriptions

• Responsible for offering a friendly and efficient services to all guests
• Process guests orders to ensure that all items are prepared and served promptly
• Assists in setup and clear down of the front and back of Salon & Boutique operations
• Ensure food safety regulations are followed as according to NEA's policy
• To ensure neatness and cleanliness of service ware
• Promote and sell our range of products and food and beverage items to walk-in customers
• Attending to customers’ needs, complaints and enquiries
• Provide guests with gift wrapping service in accordance to TWG Tea Company’s standards
• Receiving and checking the inventory of goods and supplies
• Handling of cash, POS system, and report of take-in-cash when on duty

Requirements

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in F&B / Retail Operations, preferably in luxury goods industry
• Pleasant and well-groomed
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Hands-on and customer-focused role, hence we require someone with drive, efficiency and assertiveness
• High initiative and positive attitude
