Could you be the full-time Shift Supervisor in Dubai, United Arab Emirates we’re looking for?
Your future role
Manage and direct employees at an APM system to accomplish the overall operation and maintenance of the site system in accordance with customer contractual requirements and the policies and the procedures of the Company.
We’ll look to you for:
Technical/Engineering Functions:
- Enforce all company safety policies/Rules and promote positive Safety Culture.
- Lead and direct the workforce to build and maintain efficient and effective work teams.
- Direct the revision of procedures in response to customer concerns or in response to changing system priorities and requirements.
- Be knowledgeable of and compliant with the provisions of the particular contract under which the SDC must operate.
- Direct the development and administration of training programs for the enhancement of work team skills.
- Compile and submit reports to Director/Manager and/or division departments.
- Provide management presence and initiative in the absence of the SDC manager; provide other managerial and professional duties as assigned.
- Facilitate meetings with staff.
- Supervise and enforce site configuration control policies and procedures.
- Direct the planning, development, and use of systems to report, manage and analyze system operations, maintenance, inventory, spares and budgetary data.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Alstom's Core Values and Leadership Attributes, Company policies and any applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; Competence Review; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; providing efficiency and productivity from the work group.
HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS) policies and procedures in all maintenance and operations.
Ensure Compliance towards Alstom's Zero Deviation Policy (AZDP)
Identify, evaluate, and manage risks related to safety, health, and the environment.
Perform regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
Propose initiatives to enhance HSE performance and reduce risks.
Report unsafe acts, non-compliance and hazards. Propose mitigations and corrective actions.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations and maintenance of a mass transit system
- Possess basic knowledge of the principles of mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with vehicle & wayside systems required and experience in Vehicle Systems, Signaling, Communication system, wayside switches, Power supply and platform screen doors will be preferred.
- Ability to maintain a rapport with employees and other personnel and the ability to deal courteously and effectively with others.
- Ability to supervise and train subordinates and to enforce regulations and related safety procedures.
- Sound interpersonal skills is a must.

Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Production Supervisor. This role supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating variety of machines to manufacture parts or products. Shift: 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00PM - 3:30AM
What you will do:
- Monitors production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules
- Assists in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization's quality requirements
- Assures safety and product quality while improving production procedures
- Coordinates work flow with the various departments involved
- Reports damaged and defective equipment to management
- Trains other employees in day to day procedures
- Maintains quality/quantity standards regarding output
- Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
- Plans flow of materials through department according to work orders
- Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
- Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
- Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products that fail to meet standards
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Maintains time and production records
- Assists with capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times
- Other duties as assigned

POSITION SUMMARY
Process all guest check-ins verifying guest identity form of payment assigning room and activating/issuing room key. Set up accurate accounts for each guest according to their requirements. Enter Marriott Rewards information. Ensure rates match market codes document exceptions. Secure payment prior to issuing room key verify/adjust billing. Compile and review daily reports/logs/contingency lists. Complete cashier and closing reports. Supply guests with directions and property information. Accommodate guest requests contacting appropriate staff if necessary. Follow up to ensure requests have been met. Process all payment types vouchers paid-outs and charges. Balance and drop receipts. Count and secure bank at beginning and end of shift. Obtain manual authorizations and follow all Accounting procedures. Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.
Assist management in training evaluating counseling motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Develop/maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns. Follow company policies and procedures; report accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications; ensure personal appearance is clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge guests; anticipate and address guests service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
