+ Weigh all meats, seafood and poultry upon arrival before invoices are signed
+ Spot-check all other perishables and non-perishables upon arrival for quality, quantity and packaging, as well as the correct temperature

About The Job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Purchasing department in Dubai, the Receiving Clerk is responsible to assist with receiving and verifying food and beverage deliveries, support storeroom maintenance, and ensure timely stock distribution to departments. Receiving Clerk reports to the Cost Controller.
As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Receive, classify, store, distribute, and take inventory of food, beverage, materials, and equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and condition upon receipt.
- Maintain and update perpetual inventories, prepare stock replacement requisitions, and process supplier invoices in the purchasing system.
- Develop and implement stock handling, storage, and rotation procedures, while protecting items from spoilage or deterioration.
- Supervise and assist with loading, unloading, packing, counting, and transporting materials using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas, keep detailed records, support departmental reporting, and expedite outstanding orders.
- Recommend stock level adjustments, resolve issues related to space and distribution, ensure HACCP compliance, and assist in various purchasing and distribution tasks as assigned.
- Senior School qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment (in stores / receiving sections)

At Hilton Dubai Palm, a Receiving Clerk will manage goods and deliveries moving in and out of the hotel, ensuring they reach the appropriate destinations and are logged according to the company's purchasing and procurement standards.
What will I be doing
As a Receiving Clerk, you will accept and control all incoming deliveries, maintain optimal goods inventory, and ensure correct storage and issue of goods. Your responsibilities include:
- Acceptance and close control of all incoming goods regarding volume and quantity
- Entering all internal goods movements into the computer system daily
- Carrying out monthly inventories with controlling; ensuring orderliness and cleanliness in your area of responsibility
- Acceptance and rough checks on all items entering the hotel by volume and quality
- Immediate reporting of complaints
- Ensuring that all articles reach their destinations immediately
- Orderly acceptance and passing on of event materials and their return from the ramp
- Handling loan and empties return from the warehouse independently
- Maintaining tidiness and cleanliness in your area of responsibility
