The role of Logistics Coordinator involves day-to-day coordination of shipments. This includes working with customer care teams, warehouse staff, and freight forwarders.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate outbound shipments including PMO, RMA, DG, Trax manual shipments, and closing drop shipments in the system.
- Prepare shipping documents upon receiving final weights and dimensions from the warehouse.
- Prepare delivery advice and HS summary sheet for outgoing shipments.
- Apply for certificates of origin via trade websites.
- Prepare airway bills for parcel shipments and book shipments in SCO for heavy air shipments.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange collection/dispatch based on Incoterms.
- Send proof of delivery to customer care after material is collected or handed over to the forwarder.
- Close shipments in Global Trax after dispatch.
- Update outbound SharePoint tracker with shipment information promptly.
- Verify shipping documents for regulated items and send for approval.
- Monitor and expedite critical shipments with freight forwarders.
- Follow up for bill of exit copies and PODs from freight forwarders.
- Provide freight quotes and rate comparisons to customer care/sales.
- Raise requests for rate changes in logistics systems.
- Release holds in transport systems.
- Support inbound shipping activities as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, logistics, or supply chain.
- 2-3 years experience in logistics and customer support.
