Job Description

The Construction Site Coordinator plays a crucial role within the construction project management team. This position is instrumental in ensuring that construction projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget. The Coordinator acts as a bridge between the construction team, architects, project managers, and sometimes the clients. A successful Construction Site Coordinator will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role often involves deploying strategic planning and effective communication strategies to resolve any issues that arise on the site. Working closely with the compliance team, the Coordinator ensures that safety and regulatory standards are met throughout the project's lifecycle. They are often the first point of contact for troubleshooting site-related issues, meaning their role is critical to maintaining productivity and safety on site.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily construction site activities to ensure compliance with project schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with on-site foremen regarding production and personnel issues.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for project managers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all safety policies and regulations are implemented and followed at the site.
  • Manage procurement and timely delivery of construction materials and equipment.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrable experience in project management and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to coordinate large teams on site.
  • Proficiency in construction project management software and tools is highly desirable.

About the Role

  • Ensure proper record-keeping and filing systems (both electronic and hard copy) for site operations and project documentation.
  • Oversee local transportation logistics and assist with accommodation arrangements for site personnel.
  • Control office material supplies and ensure availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) for visitors and site staff.
  • Coordinate passes and travel arrangements for site personnel and visitors.
  • Monitor and supervise baggage handlers, electrical/mechanical tech commissioning support, and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) work activities.
  • Assist with preparing reports related to project progress and create site, progress, and management presentations.
  • Manage and control snag lists, working closely with the Construction, T&C, and QA teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform general administrative duties, providing backup support for colleagues in case of absence or workload surges, and assist with document translations when required.
  • Support T&C (Testing and Commissioning) coordination and related activities to ensure successful project completion.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, security, environmental, and quality standards, adhering to all relevant regulations and best practices to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
What do I need to qualify for the role?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Project Coordinator or similar role, preferably within construction or related industries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Previous experience on construction sites is a strong plus, as is an understanding of site operations and safety protocols.
  • Highly structured, organized, and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment, collaborating with teams from varied backgrounds and disciplines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and spoken formats.
  • Willingness to support continuous improvement by seeking and implementing optimized ways to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will assist the Resident Engineer in design review and construction related to structural works of the project.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising the construction of bridges/viaducts and related items.
  2. Coordinate activities with other engineers and the construction supervision team.
  3. Assist in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, and related correspondence, preparing review responses for the Resident Engineer.
  4. Coordinate with Parsons' design engineers to resolve issues.
  5. Maintain daily diaries and reports by inspectors.
  6. Coordinate with contractor engineers on scheduling and resource application.
  7. Monitor inspectors and surveyors' performance.
  8. Chair meetings with authorities, contractors, subcontractors, and related parties.
  9. Ensure records are accurate and complete.

  11. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
  12. Participate in health and safety initiatives at the site.
  13. Provide on-site direction and assist in issuing site instructions related to utilities and other items.
  14. Measure, record, and assist in displaying work progress.
  15. Ensure 'as-built' drawings are correct and complete.
  16. Manage records and assist in handing over structures to authorities, obtaining final clearances.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
  • At least 6 years of experience in construction supervision of bridges and underpasses.
  • Ability to review material submissions, analyze reports, and ensure compliance with specifications.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for a major Roads and Infrastructure and bridges projects located in Dubai. The role involves both inspection and the supervision of Roads and Infrastructure works of the project and to ensure that the activities are being executed in accordance with the project specification.

  • Supervise and coordinate the construction of bridges and underpasses, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines
  • Review and approve contractors' shop drawings, proposed materials, and construction methods
  • Conduct regular field inspections to monitor work progress and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Prepare and review technical reports, including daily diaries, inspection reports, and meeting minutes
  • Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules
  • Oversee the work of inspectors and provide guidance on the supervision of contractors' operations
  • Review and analyze as-built drawings in collaboration with inspectors and surveyors
  • Monitor project conformance with contractors' schedules and propose solutions for any deviations
  • Collaborate with the senior engineering team to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
  • Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, regulations, and RTA standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 12 years of demonstrable experience in supervising the construction of roads, highways, bridges, and underpasses
  • Previous experience working in Dubai, with familiarity of local construction practices and regulations
  • In-depth knowledge of bridge and underpass construction techniques and best practices
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Familiarity with RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) standards and approval processes (preferred)
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and implement creative solutions in complex engineering projects
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
