Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled DMG Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team. This role focuses on the upkeep, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of DMG CNC machines and associated production equipment. You will be responsible for designing and enhancing maintenance processes to ensure high equipment reliability and plant efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with DMG CNC systems and a proactive approach to solving equipment challenges.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance with a focus on DMG CNC machines .
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues specific to DMG CNC platforms.
- Collaborate with OEMs and vendors to resolve technical problems and enhance equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and report hazardous conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Support urgent maintenance and emergency repair efforts, including after-hours response as needed.
- Install, upgrade, and modify DMG CNC equipment to meet production and efficiency goals.
- Use diagnostic tools, software interfaces, and mechanical instruments to maintain machine health.
- Manage maintenance documentation through a computerized system, including predictive analysis and root-cause investigation.
- Monitor inventory levels for spare parts, particularly for DMG machine components, to prevent downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions for DMG CNC operations.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support production goals and technical troubleshooting.
Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience : 5+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance of DMG CNC machines .
Technical Skills :
- In-depth knowledge of DMG MORI CNC machinery, including control systems such as Siemens, Heidenhain, and Mitsubishi.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics and interface with CNC diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with CNC machine : installation, troubleshooting, repair, modification.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply structured troubleshooting techniques.
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a high-paced production environment.
- Effective communication skills for conveying technical information and coordinating with peers and OEM technicians.
- Demonstrated ability to improve machine reliability and contribute to process optimization.
