The social worker provides counseling to students and parents, conducts psycho-social assessments, diagnoses behavioral disabilities, and offers recommendations or environmental adjustments at school, home, or community settings with periodic re-evaluations.

They participate in case conferences with school staff and parents, make referrals to the Ministry of Education with follow-up, and serve as a liaison between school and families.
