What you'll be doingThe Installation Technician is responsible for the on-site setup, assembly, and functional testing of equipment, systems, or fixtures according to company guidelines and client specifications. This includes closely working with engineers, project managers, and logistics teams to ensure installations are completed within defined timelines and budgets.
- Planning, coordinating, and executing installations at customer premises
- Ensuring adherence to technical drawings, safety standards, and quality benchmarks
- Performing installation and commissioning of systems/equipment
- Reading and following technical drawings and manuals
- Troubleshooting installation issues on-site
- Ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are maintained
- Following HSE and company protocols during work
- Providing handover reports and briefing customers on usage
- At least 2 years of related experience
- Skilled in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
- Skilled in furniture repair
- Valid UAE driver's license required

The Solar PV O&M Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of grid-tied commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across Dubai and the wider UAE. The role ensures maximum uptime, energy yield, and safety compliance of all installed PV assets under the company’s O&M portfolio.
Key Responsibilities 1. Operations & Maintenance- Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance activities for rooftop, ground-mounted, and carport PV installations.
- Monitor plant performance using SCADA or remote monitoring platforms and identify underperformance or faults.
- Conduct troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and rectification of inverters, string combiner boxes, protection systems, and communication networks.
- Plan and execute scheduled maintenance works with minimal system downtime.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement for maintenance needs.
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly energy generation and compare against expected performance ratios.
- Prepare technical performance reports and recommend actions for improvement.
- Analyze system performance data and support predictive maintenance planning.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are executed in compliance with DEWA, ADDC, and relevant Dubai Municipality safety standards.
- Implement and enforce site‑specific safety procedures, including LOTO, PPE usage, and electrical safety practices.
- Maintain documentation related to work permits, safety checks, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and internal project teams for O&M activities.
- Supervise site technicians and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Support commissioning of new projects transitioning to the O&M phase.
- Identify and implement system upgrades, retrofits, and performance enhancement measures.
- Provide technical feedback to design and installation teams for improving future system reliability.
- Stay updated on the latest PV technologies, inverter systems, and monitoring platforms.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics or related engineering field.
- 3–6 years of experience in solar PV O&M, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
- Proven experience with C&I‑scale PV systems (1MW to 5 MW).
- Hands‑on experience with leading inverter brands (e.g., Huawei, SMA, Sungrow, Fronius, SolarEdge, etc.).
- Strong understanding of PV system architecture, electrical protection, and grid integration.
- Proficiency in data monitoring tools and reporting software (e.g., Solar-Log, Huawei FusionSolar, or SolarEdge).
- Working knowledge of SCADA systems, Modbus/TCP communications, and networking basics.
- Familiarity with DEWA net‑metering regulations and Dubai Solar Programme standards.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and report‑writing abilities.
- Team‑oriented with good coordination and time‑management skills.
