Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Dubai, UAE
Role Summary:
The Sales Engineer will play a key role in aligning Azentio’s solutions with customer needs, supporting the sales team, and building trusted partnerships with clients. Based in Dubai, this individual will combine technical knowledge and business acumen to drive sales success and customer satisfaction in the region.
Key Responsibilities
·Customer Engagement:
- Own the entire face of business for each customer’s experience.
- Partner with the sales team to identify customer requirements and demonstrate how Azentio's solutions can address business challenges.
- Deliver impactful product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution workshops tailored to customer needs.
- Act as a trusted advisor, fostering long-term relationships with clients by providing technical insights and strategic recommendations.
·Solution Design and Technical Expertise:
- Collaborate with customers to design solutions that align with their technical and business objectives.
- Provide detailed technical consultation, addressing questions and challenges throughout the sales cycle.
- Assist in crafting detailed responses to RFPs/RFIs and ensure the technical feasibility of proposed solutions.
·Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work with product, engineering, and support teams to align customer feedback with product enhancements and development.
- Collaborate with the sales team on account strategies and ensure technical alignment with customer needs.
·Industry Leadership:
- Represent Azentio at industry events, trade shows, and seminars to showcase our solutions and capabilities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in the GCC region, especially within the BFSI sector.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced technical certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical sales, solution consulting, or similar role within the software industry, preferably in the BFSI sector.
- Proven ability to succeed in a customer-facing technical role within KSA or the GCC region.
- Solid understanding of cloud-based software solutions, enterprise architecture, and system integration practices.
- Experience with core banking systems is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in Arabic, English is required.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the MEA region.
- Valid driver’s license and residency in UAE are essential.

About the roleAs the Pre‑Sales Solution Engineer, you will partner with our distribution account managers as the key technical lead throughout the sales lifecycle. Through this partnership, you will work in a consultative role to assist in the successful closing of new deals by performing technical presentations of AvePoint solutions and pre‑sales support to our prospective and returning customers. This role is for someone who wants a role where you can utilize your technical expertise and customer facing skills in the dynamic tech industry? This position is your opportunity to succeed as a pre‑sales professional, allowing you to work with state of the art software offerings. We’ll provide you with continuous training and mentorship to help you on your way to success as a sales engineer.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Presenting and demonstrating AvePoint’s product offerings relevant to customer objectives remotely and on‑site
- Successfully facilitating Solution Discovery, Solution Overview, and Technical Deep Dive sessions with customers.
- Communicating with prospective customers, assisting and guiding them through their evaluation and selection process
- Building environments tailored to customer requirements as Proof of Concept during the sales lifecycle to illustrate product capabilities and how they align specifically with customer objectives
- Participating in writing proposals in response to RFIs / RFPs that showcase how the AvePoint product line can satisfy customer requirements with attractive return on their investment
- Sharing information with the sales and technical teams about our products and the market
- Helping the sales team identify and understand customer business objectives and organization to best align AvePoint technology
- Establishing relationships with key customer business and technical advocates that have the power to drive long‑term AvePoint solution adoption within their company
- Developing customer’s buying vision for how AvePoint can help them reduce costs and increase business agility
- Supporting AvePoint Partner and Marketing teams with their online and in‑person events including workshops, tradeshows, and webinars.
- Ownership of technical sales opportunity closure
- BA/BS Degree (Computer, Technology and Engineering majors preferred) OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Confident and enthusiastic presentation skills

- Advanced business and technical communication skills – can lead conversations to align technical value to client’s business needs – must be fluent in Arabic and English

- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, SMTP, and DHCP technologies
- Working knowledge of Data Backup concepts, migration topics, adoption and governance strategies
- Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint architecture, components, and configuration, including the differences between SharePoint versions, hybrid architecture and online versions
- Broader knowledge of server and cloud offerings in the tech industry i.e. Office 365, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud is strongly preferred.
