We are representing a fast-growing UAV and surveillance technology solutions provider working across the UAE GCC and Africa. The company is seeking a Solution Engineer Public Safety to design and implement integrated solutions involving drones CCTV command systems and AI-enabled surveillance.
This role requires a strong blend of technical know-how (Linux coding system integration) and domain knowledge in public safety law enforcement or emergency response technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deploy public safety use cases involving drones CCTV thermal imaging and integrated monitoring platforms
- Configure and troubleshoot Linux-based systems servers and networked devices
- Collaborate with product sales and operations teams to develop customized client solutions

The Solutions Engineer, “Pre-sales Consultant”, or “Sales Engineer”, is a technical role that is part of the sales team. A solutions engineer is a product and market expert for one or several product lines of Fortra portfolio. The Solutions Engineer, “Pre-sales Consultant”, or “Sales Engineer”, is a technical role that is part of the sales team. It is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals with both strong technical, collaboration and presentation skills willing to participate in a key role in sales activities and business development.
A solutions engineer is a product and market expert for one or several product lines of Fortra portfolio. You will work with leading companies worldwide providing guidance during the sales process by identifying customers technical and business requirements and demonstrating product capabilities prior to designing a solution proposal that is the best for the customer. You will also participate in marketing activities such as webinars, tradeshows and content generation.
As a Solutions Engineer for Data Protection, you’ll be managing pre-sales activities for different solutions from the portfolio: Digital Guardian DLP, Data Classification (formerly Titus and Boldon James), and Fortra Cloud Data Protection (formerly Lookout SSE) and will also have the chance to learn other cyber security solutions from Fortra’s portfolio including, Clearswift Email Gateway, GoAnywhere MFT, Agari and others.
This position is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or United Arab Emirates. Will require to travel occasionally, you may expect to be traveling 10-30% of the time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Sales activities:
- In close cooperation with sales representatives, work together on any activities with prospective customers
- Conduct “pain discovery” processes to understand the customer needs and articulate a solution that best addresses those needs.
- Develop, present and deliver high-impact demonstrations
- Own the customer’s evaluation process of the offered products and solutions, by executing trials and proof of concepts.
- Identify technical and functional objections from the prospective customer during the sales process, be creative finding solutions, and work together with the appropriate team for remediation.
- Build and present proposals to customers, articulating the benefits of our company as the best solution that addresses their need to all levels, including “C” level executives.
- Provide estimates of professional services efforts and build a project plan, if required, to guarantee a successful deployment at the customer.
- Understand the competition and become a differentiator during the sales process.
- Know the company portfolio to identify and generate cross-selling opportunities.
Partnership Activities:
- Work together with partners in activities like visits, demos, proposals, events etc.
- Help in the partner recruiting process, participate in calls with potential partners.
- Participate in partner enablement activities like tech training and functional enablement.
- Deliver technical presentations and response to technical questions during sales calls.
Industry Events:
- Represent the Company at Trade Shows, User Group events, Conferences, and Virtual events.
- Provide presentations at events where applicable.
Product / Technical Marketing:
- Participate in online webinars on specific topics.
- Assist in the outbound launch of new products and releases activities.
- Serve as the market expert of our products, from how customers use them, how the competition positions against them to how we sell and service them in the field.
As Solutions Engineer you are expected to:
- Work under low supervision
- Know most of Fortra’s solution portfolio.
- Be a technical expert on the product(s) you work with
- Keep learning the sales processes, market knowledge, and developing your soft skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- KSA or UAE resident
- Four-year Degree in a technical field, ideally Computer Science or IT is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT, technical presales, technical consultancy, development or technical support activities.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cyber security, in one or more of these areas: DLP, Data Classification, or other relevant Data Governance solutions.
- Excellent oral presentation skills, public relations skills, and the ability to educate and train in a technical environment.
- Arabic language (native) and very good English are required. Any other language is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
WHAT SETS YOU APART:
- Previous experience in presales activities for a DLP vendor.
- Hands-on experience with related cybersecurity technologies including DLP, CASB, Email Gateways, Document Management, DRM/Encryption, EDR solutions.
- Security, technical or other certifications like CISSP are considered an advantage
- Experience working in IT / security projects in large organizations.

Youll partner with the Sales Team working with some of the largest construction companies in the MENA helping to articulate Procores overall value proposition.
As a Solutions Engineer and trusted customer advocate youll help organisations understand best practices around construction project management solutions and the many benefits they can provide. Successful candidates have either experience owning presales technical support for large prospects and partners from initial contact through product demonstration to close or have held a project management role within the construction industry including Controls Manager Quantity Surveyor Planning Manager BIM Manager PMO / Digital TransformationDigital Transformation Consultant Data Science Consultant Claims / Risk Consultant or Capital Projects Consultant.
This position will be based in our Dubai office. Were looking for someone to join us immediately.
What youll do:
Own presales technical support of prospects and partners from initial contact through product demonstration and close
Craft valuebased presentations that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of the Procore platform
Participate in technical demonstrations and coordinate multiple technical resources both internal and external
Work with the Sales team to close new business by addressing prospects technical challenges
Enable new Account Executives for success and transform them into Procore experts through training and support

Previous experience working with strategic sales teams to close new business by addressing prospects technical challenges OR experience working with technology within construction to improve key project management and compliance processes.
Fluency in English is required Arabic is preferable.
Ability to leverage strong technical aptitude to master Procores product offerings business model services and emerging technologies.
Ability to work crossfunctionally and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders on a timesensitive project.
Outstanding presentation and communication skills both inperson and through virtual meetings direct messages email etc.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to synthesise meaningful information from ambiguous data.
Experience acting as a technology evangelist and promoter of modernising the Construction industry is a plus.
