The Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist is responsible for creating the sourcing strategy and locating new suppliers for the categories, projects, and programs assigned to meet quality, delivery, and cost goals. They will be teamed with Global supply chain teams to meet customer requirements, company objectives, and hold suppliers to our expectations.
Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist (m/f/d)
Key Responsibilities:
- Create sourcing strategies for categories, projects, and programs to meet cost, lead time, and quality goals, in collaboration with other cross-functional program leaders.
- Representing the global supply chain organization in the MEAI region for products delivered within that region, with a focus on Engine Foam Wash Product.
- Partner with the Supplier Management team to Locate, negotiate, and onboard new suppliers in the MEAI regions.
- Ensure adequate supplier capacity exists within each category.
- Use the competitive bid process to solicit sources to obtain favorable pricing and delivery, while strategically growing a network of suppliers.
- Review proposals, negotiate, and issue purchase agreements with supply base considering Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) inclusive of cost of poor quality and late delivery performance.
- Partner with supplier management team to execute contracts on exclusivity, inventory, limited partnerships and/or LTA s where applicable.
- Create should cost models for categories to challenge single-sourced or source-controlled suppliers.
- Create supplier risk profiles for categories and strategies to reduce risk.
- Support business development by sourcing new program components to support growth initiatives.
- Support business improvement projects and other duties as required.
- Track and report KPI measurements such as cost reduction, terms improvement, lead time reduction and quality improvements with supplier scorecards and internal bowling charts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related.
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing / sourcing / supply chain / planning.
- Experience in developing global supply chain strategy and building high performing suppliers.
- Results oriented growth mindset with the drive build sourcing strategy.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience with complex negotiations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure complete follow through.
- Proven success with an ability to influence vertically and horizontally inside the organization.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain / Procurement best practices.
- Experience in Continuous Improvements and/or Lean Process Development preferred.
