The role of Learning Disability Specialist involves providing educational support and social guidance for students with learning difficulties disabilities. The incumbent will be responsible for promoting awareness of the Student Accessibility Services Department to encourage the acceptance of students with learning difficulties amongst the teaching community.

The responsibilities of this role include establishing and maintaining professionally appropriate criteria and procedures for determining eligibility of students for disability accommodations and services, advising faculty and administrators of legal responsibilities and establishing procedures for compliance, maintaining a confidential and secure database of all students with disabilities and creating reports for management when required.
