Mission

Under the leadership of the project manager on site, take full responsibility of the architectural aspects of the assigned project(s) ensuring that all works are carried out as per the approved design, in line with contract and to relevant international standards - delivered on time and to full satisfaction of the clients.

Line and Staff Relations

The Site Architect will report into the Project Manager on-site on a daily basis and to the Head of Practice – Building Design in the design office at an organizational level.

  • ARTELIA AIRPORTS staff:
    • team of Architects, Inspectors and BIM technicians in the site office.
  • Internal / External collaborators:
    • Engineers of different trades within the site supervision team as well as with Architects and Engineers in the design office.
    • With authorized contractors representatives assigned for the projects in the most professional manner ensuring all meeting are minuted and all exchanges are adequately documented.
Key Responsibilities Design delivery
  • Assist the site supervision team in the successful delivery of the project.
  • Responsible to ensure the design meets all relevant international codes and standards required for the project.
  • Ensuring that all project deliverables (drawings, specifications etc) are fully coordinated from a contractual point of view.
  • Shop drawings submitted by contractors are reviewed in line with the contract drawings and specification to ensure they fully meet the design intent. Shop drawings are to be coded as per the agreed procedure and returned within the agreed timeline.
  • Material submissions submitted by contractors are reviewed in line with the contract drawings and specification to ensure they fully meet the design intent. Material submissions are to be coded as per the agreed procedure and returned within the agreed time.
  • All information requested by the contractor are provided within the contractual obligations and such information is provided within the agreed time.
  • Coordinate with the design office for any discrepancies in the contract document and ensure that the responses provided to the contractor are in line with the design intent.
  • Act as the project’s design coordinator and contribute (fully or partially) to the overall design management activities.
  • Participation in meetings, recording of minutes and reporting.
  • Take initiatives to develop lesson learned documents, design manuals, standard design documents, presentations, etc. so as to increase efficiencies, knowledge and awareness across the wider architectural community.
Documentation
  • Ensure all meetings with contractors, clients representatives or external sub-consultants/ sub-contractors are properly minuted and the minutes are dispatched within the agreed timeline.
  • All correspondence on site are done according to the Company standards on approved templates and all relevant documentation are maintained for all exchanges with the contractor.
  • Ensure that minutes are prepared and dispatched for multidisciplinary internal coordination meeting.
Coordination
  • Coordinate work on site within all disciplines and ensure that the design is fully coordinated.
  • Coordinate work with all external agencies involved including stakeholders and sub-consultants and all approving agencies/authoritative.
  • Ensure that all coordination works are planned as per the program and tracked to ensure that all deliverable are received on time.
Resource management
  • Participate with Project Manager in resource allocation and ensure that allocated resources are utilized effectively to meets all project deadlines.
  • Communicate to the team all aspects of the project clearly to ensure that the team is fully aware of the project at all times.
  • Ensure the supervision team is motivated at all times.
Profile Specifications – Minimum Requirements
  • 5-10 years of total site experience with a minimum of 3 years on Airport projects.
  • Bachelor of Architecture / MArch Degree
  • UAE Society of Engineers membership
  • Abu Dhabi Engineering license
  • International Accreditation (RIBA, AIA or equivalent) and Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP or equivalent) is preferred
  • Full knowledge of Statutory Authorities requirements,
  • Full knowledge of international codes and standards , regulations and submission requirements
  • Developed knowledge of Fire & Life Safety Principles and Sustainable Design principles.
  • Strong proficiency in Autocad and BIM (revit) skill
  • Excellent organizational, communication and people orientation competencies.

The Operations Leader for High-Speed Balancing and Testing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of balancing, testing and maintenance operations within the facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of high-speed balancing, vibration analysis, and performance testing of Generator rotors, while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing a team of winding & testing technicians, coordinating with other functions, and implementing strategies to optimize generator operation. The High-Speed Balancing Operations Leader will have technical knowledge and experience working with GE / Alstom / O'OEM large Generators. They will be responsible and fully involved for the balancing, repairs, maintenance and daily operations of the Generator cell.
**Job Description**
**What you'll do;**
+ This position is responsible for providing leading and technical support to the Generator business segment within the Jebel Ali Service Center to drive safety, quality, delivery and cost results in the repair and service of power generation equipment.
+ Position responsibilities include providing accurate and detailed job planning, process instructions and procedures and technical oversight of work in process. Interfacing with working leaders & winder/Technician craftsman as necessary to ensure quality and timely execution of work.
+ The position is responsible for tracking job details, inspection data, technical results and preparing intermediate and final report documentation. Responsible for interfacing with Engineering, Product Services, sourcing, logistics and internal & external customer personnel as needed to ensure quality results and to achieve superior customer service.

1 Mission

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for all the design technicalconcerns during the project conception stages and the construction in the trade related to his/her qualification. The role ensures the quality at every stage of the project (design, construction, testing and commissioning).

The Senior Mechanical Engineer leads the design technical studies, in coordination with other trades working on the projects he/she is involved. He/she coordinates with the clients and Stakeholders, the Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), and other Consulting Engineers at any phase of the project as well as the Contractors during the construction stage.

On site, the Senior Mechanical Engineer leads the submissions review, supervises the procurement, installation, testing and commissioning within is discipline perimeter.

2 Line and Staff Relations

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will report to the Head of Practice and/or Director, Production and Operations for line management support and projects instructions.

In supervision stage, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will take directions from the appointed Resident Engineer, and will give direction to assigned other Engineers/inspectors/surveyors when assigned to projects.

As part of his/her mission, the Senior Mechanical Engineer may be in functional contact with:

· The Project Director and/or Project Manager and the Design Manager

· The Client or the delegated contracting authority,

· The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)

· The various Practices and Departments,

· Other Consultants and/or Sub-Consultants

· The Tendering Department,

· The Business Development Department,

· Approving Authorities and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)

· Other Stakeholders

3 Key Responsibilities

  • Respect ARTELIA AIRPORTS policy and guide-lines for Ethics and Compliance.
  • As specialist advisor, attends diagnostics, expertise recommendations and solutions on airport installations and other existing buildings types.
  • Provides input to the Tendering Department during the pre-bid and bidding processes to help secure new projects proposals vs technical scope of work, planning and needed resources deployment
  • New technologies/innovations sharing
  • Lessons learnt from previous projects sharing

CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION

· Coordinates with other technical Consultant’s Engineers,

· Coordinates technical issues with the Contractors,

· Coordinates the design and site works with all other trades working on the project

· Works on the required site modifications, prepares and submits Variation Orders to the Client’s approval, issues Engineer’s Instructions and answers the contractors’ technical requests.

· Ensure that contractors have obtained NOC and necessary work permits from AHJs and other related airport authorities and stakeholders

· Is in charge of all types of submissions review:

o Reviews all documents related to construction work, such as but not limited to: shop drawings, method of statements, materials submissions, mock-ups, calculation notes, factories visits, maintenance manuals, as-built documentation etc… vs contractual requirements, design and specifications

o Prepares technical comments on non-conformity reports, instruction request and material approvals that will be transmitted to the Construction Manager via the Resident Engineer for validation,

o Alerts in case of claims and advises the Contract Advisor for answering claims,

o Checks the production and construction quality on site,

o Checks manufacturing of devices (including validation of prototype).

· Prepares materials and components proposals with necessary technical data and recommendations, and submits for approval to Client and related Stakeholders.

· Provides support for the preparation and submission of the progress reports (weekly, monthly, …)

· Supervises all construction work stages:

o Installation, commissioning, testing, punch listing and training, etc…

o Controls the on-site progress of works through regular site inspections and when deemed necessary

o Supervise the quality of work at every stage of the construction

o Attend testing and commissioning

o Attends site meetings with the client, contractors, subcontractors and/or suppliers,

o Attends internal site meetings

o Supervises inspectors daily tasks/works

· Ensure the handover of the project is done in compliance with the requirements of the project contract performance requirement.

CONCEPTION (where applicable)

· Using AutoCAD, BIM – Revit and other software tools in the delivery of a project from concept stage to design project completion.

· Understands client requirements and identifies inputs and outputs,

· Organizes and plan the studies and drawings production in respect of the delays and project budget at any stage of the studies, guides and controls draftsmen production and design production from sub-consultants vs their contract obligations

· Prepares sketches and feasibility studies to define the guidelines of the project, including ROM cost estimate, CAPEX and OPEX, to enable the client to make the necessary choices

· Studies all the spatial, temporal and technical constraints dictated to the project, in coordination with other disciplines

· Prepares and verifies all documents prior submission, in terms of technical content and QA/QC, as per contract requirement, all design stages

· Prepare RFP for sub-consultancy services and manage sub-consultant deliverables as per contract obligations (scheduledeliverables content, etc…)

· Participates in pre-qualification and qualification process, analyses pre-qualification and tenders, and provides technical analysis report recommendation

· Is in charge of:

o Contracts review in terms of supplying the right services, all design stages, on time and within project budget,

o Cohesion between the graphic documents and the specifications,

o Compliance with the International and Regional Codes and Standards (security, safety, airport regulations, construction…)

o Ensuring that proper controls, i.e. QA/QC and content compliance vs contract obligations, are properly conducted prior submission

o May be called for specialist advice, diagnostics, expertise recommendations and solutions on airport installations and other existing buildings types

o Maintain and develop CAD and BIM libraries

· Any other task requested by his/her line manager within his/her field of expertise

4 Profile Specifications – Minimum Requirements

· 10-15 years of total experience with a minimum of 3 years under BIM environment projects and at least 5 at Senior level.

· Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering.

· UAE society of engineers membership

· Abu Dhabi Engineering License

· NFPA Certification would be valued

· LEED or other Sustainability Standard Certification would be valued

· Strong proficiency in BIM (Revit) and supporting Revit tools skill – Dynamo BIM or equivalent, andother software is mandatory ( AutoCAD, MathCAD, etc…)

· Well versed in MS office Application (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)

· Experience leading teams and guiding the design process from the collection of data and client’s input discussions till the Construction Phase

· Effective communication skills in English both written and spoken

· Good communication and Customer facing skills

· Ability to plan, organize and has flexibility towards work.

· Ability to manage relationships with clients, sub-consultants, contractors and suppliers.

· Capable of international mobility

Key Job Responsibilities:
- To plan, direct, coordinate, construction activities and monitor project execution.
- Management of a team of multi discipline architects, engineers, inspectors and specialists.
- Attendance or representation as appropriate at all project related construction meetings.
- Monitoring and reporting on the contractor's activities on site with respect to technical and contractual compliance.

- Respond to Request for Information and queries raised by contractors.
- Administer Change orders.
- As appropriate visit the sites of the extraction and fabrication of material/equipment for performance & workmanship before delivery to site.
- Assist the Client in settling and disputes between the client and contractors.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 15 years' ME experience including 8 years in UAE working in an international consultant environment.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines: Civil / Structural.
-Healthcare facility project delivery/construction experience would be preferred.
- Strong engineering and technical background. (FIDIC contracts) .
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solution (Excel, Word).

Mission

Perform structural design for concrete structures (Airport Buildings) using International standards American, British and similar along with the local regulations. Coordinate the work of other structural Engineers and technicians within the discipline.

The Senior Structural Engineer develops structure design in coordination with other trades working on the projects he/she is involved in. He/she coordinates with the clients and Stakeholders, the Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), and other Consulting Engineers at any phase of the project as well as the Contractors during the construction stage.

On site, the Senior Structural Engineer will execute submissions review, supervises the procurement, installation, witness testings on site and factory when applicable within is discipline perimeter.

Line and Staff Relations

This role will report directly to the Lead Engineer, Structure

He/She works with:

  • All the local staff
  • All the external entities necessary to his/her job execution

The Senior Structure Engineer will report to the Structure Department Lead for line management support and projects instructions.

In supervision stage, the Senior Structure Engineer will take directions from the appointed Resident Engineer, and will give direction to assigned inspectors/surveyors when assigned to projects.

As part of his/her mission, the Structure Engineer may be in functional contact with:

  • The Project Director and/or Project Manager and the Design Manager
  • The Client or the delegated contracting authority,
  • The Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
  • The various Practices and Departments,
  • Other Consultants and/or Sub-Consultants
  • The Tendering Department,
  • The Business Development Department,
  • Other Stakeholders
Key Responsibilities

STRUCTURAL DESIGN:

  • Produce structural design documents for all design stages from concept up to design completion stage, to high level of quality ensuring that all design work complies with the relevant technical standards, quality standards and local authorities rules & regulations.
  • Perform structural design and analysis calculations using International Codes and Standards such as American, British, and regional regulations.
  • Develop Structural design documents using REVIT and AutoCAD and other relevant structural software.
  • Monitoring structural draftsmen production and/or sub-consultants deliverables in terms of quality, contractual conformity, content and planning.
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines such as but not limited to architecture, MEPs, airport special systems, etc.
  • Making the necessary decisions and recommendations based on projects nature and requirements and report to the department leader about the results.
  • Provide support for elaboration of BOQs and PTE
  • Ensure proper controls, i.e. QA/QC and content compliance vs contract obligations prior submission, including for sub-consultants production as per their contract obligations
  • Prepare engineering reports and presentations
  • Any other task requested by his/her line manager within his/her field of expertise

CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION

  • Coordinates with other technical Consultant’s Engineers
  • Coordinates technical issues with the Contractors
  • Is in charge of all types of submissions review:
    • Reviews and verifies compliance with design and specifications, all documents submissions related to construction works such as but not limited to: shop drawings, method of statements, materials submissions, mock-ups, calculation notes, factories visits, as-built documentation etc… vs contractual requirements, design and specifications
    • Prepares technical comments on non-conformity reports, instruction request and material approvals that will be transmitted to the Construction Manager via the Resident Engineer for validation
    • Alerts in case of claims and advises the Contract Advisor for answering claims
    • Checks the production and construction quality on site
  • Provides support for the preparation and submission of the progress reports (weekly, monthly, …)
  • Supervises all construction work stages:
    • Installation, commissioning, testing, punch listing and training, etc…
    • Controls the on-site progress of works through regular site inspections and when deemed necessary
    • Supervise the quality of work at every stage of the construction
    • Attend testing and commissioning
    • Attends site meetings with the client, contractors, subcontractors and/or suppliers
    • Attends internal site meetings
    • Supervises inspectors daily tasks/works
  • Ensure the handover of the project is done in compliance with the requirements of the project contract performance requirement.

Profile Specifications – Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Similar.
  • 10 years structural design experience of concrete and steel structures with International Consultancy firm, out of which 5 years experience with airport buildings design or commercial buildings.
  • UAE Society of Engineers membership
  • Abu Dhabi Engineering license with 10 years min
  • Dubai Municipality Approved or Certified (G + 12) will be valued.
  • PE Certification will be valued.
  • Good knowledge of structural International and Regional Codes and Standards and Regulations (ASCE-7, IBC, ACI-318, AISC-360, EN-BS, etc…)
  • Excellent knowledge and working experience in related structural design analysis software (Etabs, Safe , Sap2000, Robot, etc…).
  • Good supervision experience for large airport or commercial projects.
  • Knowledge on geotechnical engineering
  • Excellent skills in AutoCAD and BIM software such as BIM/REVIT and other design software as applicable for Structure Engineering design perimeter.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Visio)
