Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee the strategic deployment of all staff across the offices and practice areas you support, ensuring alignment with a wide variety of skill sets and capabilities.
- Support APCO in becoming more agile by placing the right people on the right projects at the right time to optimize headcount, increase utilization, and enhance employee engagement.
- Drive medium- and long-term workforce planning for the offices and practices under your remit.
- Understand the region's growth plans and strategic priorities, and align headcount planning accordingly.
- Allocate teams with the appropriate balance of skills and experience, considering individual strengths, development areas, team dynamics, personalities, and client profitability.
- Contribute to an efficient staffing process that results in balanced, optimized teams and a sense of fairness in workload and opportunity.
- Be accountable to the Senior Staffing Associate for all deployment and planning activities, including resourcing for new business pitches and proposals.
- Anticipate stakeholder concerns and provide strategic advice and support to address them.
- Deliver long-term, sustainable resourcing solutions while balancing short-term business needs.
- Proactively address global supply and demand challenges and opportunities in deployment, collaborating closely with resourcing peers.
- Communicate regularly with the Senior Staffing Associate, MDs, practice leads, and finance and talent teams to optimize staffing and explore innovative sourcing strategies, while flagging any resourcing risks.
- Foster positive working relationships and promote collaboration across the firm.
- Understand the individual development goals of staff and align deployment opportunities to support their growth.
- Promote the use of key resourcing systems to enable effective and efficient staffing outcomes.
- Analyze data to identify trends, make connections, and uncover opportunities to improve profitability, while advising the business on resourcing strategies.
- Balance the needs of multiple stakeholders to deliver outcomes that build strong relationships and support both individual and business goals.
- Recognize potential conflicts early and work to resolve them through appropriate support and escalation when necessary.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Demonstrate a strategic and forward-planning mindset with strong commercial awareness.
- Bring 1–2 years of relevant experience; agency or management consulting experience is a plus.
- Understand and empathize with client demands and expectations.
- Promote resource management as a key business partner contributing to organizational success.
- Reside in Dubai or be willing to relocate.
- Be willing to travel as required.
- Be open to working additional or irregular hours as needed and permitted by local regulations.
