**Description:**
The Resident Engineer must have full
knowledge of the existing sewerage
networks in the Emirates of Dubai.
Candidate must be able to evaluate the time
to complete the emergency works,
take on-the-spot decisions, and deal
with all service authorities while
dealing with emergency works.
Candidate must have a thorough knowledge and
experience in dealing with sewerage
network, manholes, VC WO, AV
chambers and pumping station
rehabilitation works, non-disruptive
road crossings, and road construction.
Candidate must also have thorough
knowledge and experience in
designing stormwater, and irrigation
works.
**Qualifications:**
Candidate shall have a relevant
degree from a recognized
university and 20 years of
experience in a senior-level
position.

**Job Description:**
**Materials Engineer**
**Dubai, UAE**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Materials** **Engineer** to join our team!
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately. Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.
+ Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
+ Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
+ Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
+ Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
+ Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
+ May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
+ May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology.
+ Minimum **7 years** of related experience on **r** **oad** **works, bridges and infrastructure projects.**
+ **Have Dubai Central Laboratory Approval.**
+ Experience in reviewing third party designs and coordinating comments for approval.
+ Experience of working within a multi-discipline team environment.
