Ensure proper stock levels are maintained at all times by implementing a first-in-first-out (FIFO) method of issuing stock. Monitor expiry dates of store items and inform the supervisor accordingly. Maintain accurate records with up-to-date information.
Perform monthly inventory checks to maintain an accurate count of supplies. Enter data into inventory records promptly and efficiently.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in storage areas. Ensure receipts, records and withdrawals of the stockroom are accurately recorded.
Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report these to accounting for reimbursements and record-keeping purposes.
Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses as required. Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Purchasing Manager and Supervisor.
Requirements- Education: A High School Diploma or Equivalent is typically required.
