Project teams in our Energy & Industrial Group (EIG) support industry-leading projects in power generation, water treatment, plant design, environmental compliance, mid/downstream oil & gas, and multi-disciplined industrial projects. Our EIG teams perform detailed engineering services for large thermal projects, water desalination projects, and cogeneration projects. We're the industry leader in carbon capture technologies with experience executing pilot-scale to commercial-scale projects for utilities and industrial plants.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ This position will offer you the opportunity to work as a senior technical engineer involved in the design, modification, and analysis of electrical systems for projects ranging from existing plant retrofits to new generation installations.
+ You will be involved in power distribution designs and the preparation of specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services needed to support the projects.
+ Assist project manager in efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
+ Coordinate systems design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
+ Prepare and review functional design drawings including single line, relay and metering, cable block, and schematic diagrams. Prepare documentation for design input for other drawing production and 3-D modeling.
+ Prepare and review detailed calculations, including auxiliary power system studies, voltage drop, protective relay settings, and arc flash calculations.
+ Interface with vendors to prepare bills of material and equipment purchase specifications and provide recommendations to the client.
+ Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and S&L formats.
+ Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawings.
+ Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced engineers.

Qualifications
This position is UAE based.
Essential skills and experience:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering program is required and an emphasis in power systems is preferred.
+ 7 or more years of experience in power plant design particularly Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) facilities and/or SWRO Desalination plants, with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new facilities, or modifications or replacements for existing facilities.
+ Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, control philosophy, and the preparation and assembling of calculations and specifications.
+ Experience with electrical system design including medium and low voltage distribution systems (transformers, generators, motors), communication systems, equipment selection, and analytical calculations.
+ Experience performing calculations in ETAP.
+ Experience with international codes and standards including IEC and NFPA.
+ Technically knowledgeable of available electrical power distribution equipment.
+ Experience with physical design including raceway and equipment layouts.
+ Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a lead engineering role and the ability to manage multiple tasks / projects at once.
+ Experience in reviewing other engineers' design calculations and drawings.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
+ Engineering consulting experience and strong client relationships with MENA/CIS clients.
+ Experience with other calculation software such as CDEGs, PSS/e, DigSilent, SKM, Autogrid, PSCAD, EMTP a plus.

Parsons is hiring Associate Electrical Engineer (UAE National) to support design of major infrastructure projects.
**What You'll Be Doing** :
+ Prepare electrical engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, designs and other design related documents.
+ Performs conventional and basic electrical engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline. The Engineer at this entry level is required to apply the standard engineering theories and practices, and Company procedures. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring** :
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) from an accredited institution
+ Ideally some related work experience, fresh graduates are also welcome to apply

Job Description
**Description:**
The Electrical Engineer plays a vital
role within the supervision team,
providing essential technical support
to local supervision teams concerning
water and environmental design drawings.
This position necessitates a
relevant degree from a recognized
university, complemented by a
minimum of 10 years of extensive
experience in the design, construction,
and supervision of sewage
infrastructure, including PLC controls
and SCADA systems.
A thorough understanding of Dubai's existing
infrastructure networks, as well as
significant experience in low voltage
(LV), medium voltage (MV), and
Instrumentation, Control, and
Automation (ICA) works, is crucial. Candidate must possess strong coordination
skills with local authorities such as
DEWA and Dubai Municipality,
adeptly managing emergency works
and ensuring compliance with
construction-related codes and
regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft
Office applications and Primavera P3,
alongside excellent communication
skills in English-Arabic being an
additional asset-further supports
the Engineer's effectiveness in this
role. An understanding of
international engineering standards
and a solid foundation in water and environmental engineering are essential for success in this position
