**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Senior Sustainability & Environmental Specialist** to join our Construction Site team! In this role you will get to contribute to the environmental and sustainability strategies for the construction of a high-quality housing community development (including villas and multi-storey buildings). The construction scope also includes grading and enabling works; infrastructure works and Roadworks.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Be part of site project team which require sustainability evaluation and environmental compliance.
+ Provide technical guidance to project teams during planning, design development, tendering and construction supervision to enable achievement of projects sustainability and environmental goals, and project permits.
+ Collaborate with others to provide technical advisory for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
+ Develop technical reports, studies, management plans, and supporting documentation for sustainability certification and environmental documentation as part of project deliverables during design and construction.
+ Assess and manage the appointed sub-consultants and construction contractors.
+ Review deliverables prepared by consultants, suppliers, and contractors for accuracy and quality, including S&E studies conducted by sub-consultants and submitted by contractors.
+ Ensure compliance of design and construction with all applicable specifications, codes, and regulations.
+ Coordinate and participate in meetings with Client, environmental agencies, consultants and contractors.
+ Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations related to environmental compliance and sustainability.
+ Review and respond to RFIs and other technical queries, and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain information as required.
+ Support in permit and license applications, and coordinate with authorities to secure approvals.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree or above in architecture, engineering, planning, or related natural sciences field.
+ Work experience of 5-10years in an international engineering and project management or contractor.
+ Estidama PCRS PQP, LEED AP or equivalent, as a minimum (additional credentials a plus).
+ Analytical skills for assessing suitable sub-consultants and contractors.
+ Detail oriented, well-organized, and able to work independently.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language for use in preparation of and delivery of high-quality documents.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Documented participation in the preparation of a third-party sustainability certification application (e.g., LEED, Envision, Estidama), including at least two (2) completed, certified projects.
+ Experience in coordinating with diverse individuals and teams including client, consultant, contractor, design, and construction members to enable achievement of project sustainability objectives and targets.

**Senior Sustainability Engineer**
**Abu Dhabi, UAE**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Ensure the project adheres to the Pearl Building Rating System (PBRS) .
+ Collaborate with different stakeholders, such as architects, designers, consultants, suppliers, and contractors to integrate sustainable practices into project delivery process.
+ Ensure the use of energy-efficient systems, water-saving technologies, and environmentally friendly materials in compliance with Estidama requirements.
+ Prepare and submit the required documentation to the authorities for Estidama certification.
+ Maintain detailed records of sustainability measures, calculations, and compliance reports.
+ Conduct energy modeling and water efficiency calculations to meet Estidama standards.
+ Ensure the project incorporates renewable energy sources and water recycling systems where applicable.
+ Oversee the implementation of sustainability measures during construction.
+ Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with Estidama requirements, such as waste management, material sourcing, and air quality control.
+ Act as the point of contact between the project team and regulatory authorities for sustainability-related matters.
+ Provide training and awareness sessions for contractors and workers on sustainable construction practices.
+ Ensure the project meets the operational sustainability requirements, such as commissioning of systems, indoor environmental quality, and handover documentation.
+ Assist in obtaining the final Estidama certification after project completion.
+ Align sustainability measures with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and sustainable construction environment.
+ Stay updated on changes to Abu Dhabi's sustainability regulations and best practices.
+ Recommend innovative solutions to improve the project's environmental performance.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Sustainability or Environmental Science
+ 12 years minimum related experience
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ A familarity with CAD and other PC software packages
+ Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects
+ Estidama Pearl Qualified Professional (PQP) or equivalent.
+ Experience with Estidama Projects
+ Construction Site Experience
+ Knowledge of local regulations
