Job Title: Sustainability Specialist
This is a challenging and rewarding role that will allow you to contribute to the development of sustainable solutions for clients. As a Sustainability Specialist, you will work on a diverse range of projects across multiple sectors, from residential towers to mixed-use developments.
The key responsibility of this role is to advise on waste management strategies and design recommendations, ensuring that construction and operational waste is tracked, segregated, and diverted from landfill in line with Estidama LEED and local regulations. You will also be responsible for reviewing and commenting on architectural layouts to ensure waste facilities are correctly sized and accessible.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will need excellent communication and documentation skills to coordinate with design teams and authorities to align with Estidama and LEED standards as well as local waste regulations. You will also be responsible for preparing Construction Waste Management Plans (CWMPs) and Operational Waste Management Plans (OWMPs).
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, environmental engineering or a related field. You should also have at least 13 years of experience in waste management, construction, environmental compliance or sustainability consulting. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of waste streams, LEED and Estidama certifications and how waste management supports credits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on waste management strategies and design recommendations
- Review and comment on architectural layouts
- Prepare Construction Waste Management Plans (CWMPs) and Operational Waste Management Plans (OWMPs)
- Coordinate with design teams and authorities to align with Estidama and LEED standards as well as local waste regulations
- Track, segregate, and divert construction and operational waste from landfill
- Monitor waste generation and segregation on active project sites and report diversion rates
- Conduct site audits to verify waste segregation signage and disposal practices are being implemented
