**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Sustainability and Environment Specialist (Waste Management)** to join our team! In this role you will get to contribute to the waste management strategies for the delivery of challenging, iconic, high-quality infrastructure, public realm and masterplan projects.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Be part of complex project teams which require waste management alone or as part of sustainability certification and environmental compliance, from conception to project completion.
+ Provide technical guidance to project teams during planning, design development, tendering and construction supervision to enable achievement of projects sustainability and environmental goals, and project permits.
+ Develop tailored waste reduction and sustainability strategies for clients and propose innovative solutions to minimize waste and maximize resource recovery.
+ Work with clients to assess their waste management processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop strategies to minimize waste, improve recycling efforts, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations for UAE, KSA and the rest of the EMEA region.
+ Develop technical reports and studies for waste management as part of project deliverables.
+ Prepare and submit permit and license applications, and coordinate with authorities to secure approvals.
+ Analyze waste generation data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
+ Prepare community operational solid waste management plans as part of sustainability certification documentation.
+ Review deliverables prepared by consultants, suppliers, and contractors for accuracy and quality.
+ As a Waste Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping organizations reduce their environmental impact and achieve their sustainability goals.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree or above in architecture, engineering, planning, or related natural sciences field.
+ Work experience of minimum 3-5 years in an international engineering design and project management or sustainability consultancy.
+ Strong knowledge of waste management practices, recycling technologies, and sustainability principles.
+ Results-driven and able to provide expert advice and solutions for waste management.
+ Detail oriented, well-organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team, on multiple projects in parallel.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language for use in preparation of and delivery of high-quality documents in terms of grammar, composition, formatting, layout, spelling and organization.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Stay updated on waste management and environmental laws and industry standards.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelors degree or above in environmental management, circular economy, architecture, engineering, planning, or related natural sciences field.
+ Experience in coordinating with diverse individuals and teams including client, consultant, contractor, design, and construction members to enable achievement of project sustainability objectives and targets.
+ Bring a clear understanding of global good waste management consultancy practices and delivery of projects that include bespoke advice.
+ Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Sr. Sustainability and Environment Specialist** to join our team! In this role you will get to contribute to the sustainability and environmental strategies for the delivery of challenging high-quality infrastructure and masterplan projects.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Be part of complex project teams which require sustainability planning and evaluation, from conception to project completion.
+ Manage multiple multidisciplinary projects that require sustainability strategy, certifications (LEED, Envision, WELL, Estidama, Mostadam, BREEAM, etc.).
+ Develop sustainability strategies tailored for each project's aspirations and requirements.
+ Guide project teams during planning, design development, tendering and construction supervision to enable achievement of projects sustainability and environmental goals.
+ Develop technical reports and studies for sustainability certifications and environmental documentation as part of project deliverables.
+ Prepare RFPs to appoint the most suitable sub-consultants for any given project.
+ Assess and manage the appointed sub-consultants and review their sustainability outputs.
+ Review and respond to RFIs and other technical queries, and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain information as required.
+ Review deliverables prepared by consultants, suppliers, and contractors for accuracy and quality.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree or above in architecture, engineering, planning.
+ Work experience of minimum 7 years in an international engineering design and project management or sustainability consultancy.
+ Estidama PCRS PQP and/or LEED AP and/or WELL AP and/or BREEAM AP, and additional credentials a plus.
+ Knowledgable on the latest trends on the sustainability field and finding ways to impelement them synergistically.
+ Detail oriented, well-organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team, on multiple large-scale projects in parallel.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
+ Problem solving attitude and analytical skills are very important to holistically approaching the projects.
+ Team player and able to work across different teams in different geographies.
+ Leadership initiatives for the team and the wider business.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Master's degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or related natural sciences field.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Sr. Associate - Sustainability and Environment Specialist** to join our team! In this role you will get to contribute to climate change, sustainability and environmental strategies for the delivery of challenging high-quality strategy, policy advisory, infrastructure and masterplan projects.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Be part of multidisciplinary project teams and manage complex projects which require sustainability and climate change input and expertise on mitigation and adaptation planning and policies.
+ Manage and present to the clients during project workshops and meetings.
+ Develop climate resilience and sustainability strategies tailored for each project's aspirations and requirements.
+ Be curious and suggest alternative solutions and innovative ideas for each project's vision.
+ Develop technical reports and studies for sustainability and climate change mitigation and adaptation strategy development as part of project deliverables.
+ Prepare RFPs to appoint the most suitable sub-consultants for any given project, assess and manage the appointed sub-consultants, and review their deliverables for accuracy and quality.
+ Manage, mentor, support, overview and review the junior members inputs and deliverables.
+ Be experienced with the bidding process to win new work.
+ Expected to work on your own, using your own initiative with support as and when necessary.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree or above (Masters, PhD) in climate change, sustainability, environmental science, architecture, engineering, planning, or related natural sciences field.
+ Work experience of minimum 13 years in an international engineering /design / project management / sustainability /climate change consultancy.
+ Good knowledge on embodied carbon calculations (PAS 2080 a plus).
+ Good knowledge of climate change risk assessment and adaptation planning for government and/or private sector clients including on topics such as the impact of climate change on infrastructure, the natural environment, financial sector and waste management.
+ Good knowledge on climate change policies, planning and national adaptation plans in the GCC (or other regions)
+ Estidama, Envision, and/or LEED AP and/or BREEAM AP ((additional credentials a plus).
+ Good knowledge on the latest trends in sustainability field and finding ways to implement them synergistically.
+ Analytical skills, detail oriented, well-organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team, on multiple large-scale projects in parallel.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Prior experience of leading complex climate change and sustainability projects with government and private sector clients that delivered positive outcomes and satisfied clients.
+ Documented participation in the preparation of climate change and sustainability reports, including at least one (1) completed project.
+ Experience on PAS 2080 and Green House Gas emissions calculations.
+ Experience in coordinating with diverse and multidisciplinary individuals and teams including client, consultant, engineers, planners and scientists to enable achievement of project sustainability objectives and targets.
+ Bring a clear understanding of global good climate change and sustainability consultancy practices and delivery of projects that include bespoke and strategic advice.
